Paper Craft Crew 208

Hello! Welcome to Wednesday! I had a very productive day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I managed to make two cards and get ready for my Partial Die Cutting Class too! Renee had brought in some delicious chicken soup with tortellini and meatballs in it and was nice enough to share it with me for lunch. I headed home around 6:00 and had dinner with my parents. They got central air installed in the house and it was lovely and cool inside! When I got to my house I called Heather and I went over to her house and picked her up so we could run to IKEA and Target. I had to return a mattress cover that I had bought and followed the washing instruction but some of it melted in the dryer! I also picked up a Duvet Cover and a new light for above my computer desk at home. Heather had a few odds and ends to get at Target and then I dropped her off and came back home and spent the rest of the evening planning for future classes at the store. Tomorrow the new Lawn Fawn release will be available! Yay!

If it’s Wednesday then it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of the images are from the Concord & 9th Brushed Blossom Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the little spatters on the card base in Hero Arts Pale Tomato and Lime Green. Next up I stamped the flower and leaves in the same colors onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. To cut it out I used the Reverse Confetti Woodgrain Confetti Cuts. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Some Gold Mirror Card is cut out with the Concord & 9th Blossom Die and adhered to over the flower with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th You’re My Person Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black. I used my Scissors to cut it out and adhered it to the card with 3D Foam Squares. For a little sparkle I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sequins from the Concord & 9th Birthday Bling Sequin Mix. I love that flower and the fact that the die doesn’t match it exactly makes it even better! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by today to check in with me! I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

  1. How pretty and poignant your card and its sentiment are today. What is a “partial die cut”? You have peaked my curiosity. I am so glad for your parents that they have A/C! I couldn’t live without my central air! Renee’s Soup sounds delicious. Overcast here and the humidity is coming with a vengeance again. Yay, A/C! Have a wonderful Wednesday! Nancy B

    1. Thank you Nancy! Partial Die Cut is when you only cut part of the die out of the paper! My parents are really enjoying their central air, they wish they would have done it sooner! The soup was very good! Wasn’t too bad here yesterday and was cool again last night. Hope you had a great day! πŸ™‚

  2. Hi Justin:

I just love this card! The confetti is absolutely the perfect background for your main image. There are so many times that less is more and this is one good example. The gold foil brings your flower to the forefront and, of course, the sequins are the touch that finish it up just perfectly. Love it!

The heat and humidity will return today but I won’t complain unless the ice cream melts in the car before I can get it home from the grocery store! LOL We had those few days of respite which I enjoyed to the fullest and now it’s back to the summer weather once again. Oh how I would love to have central air but with a log home if it isn’t set up with hot air heating ducts when it’s originally built there is no way to have it. So, we will stick to our window A/C’s but I am really happy for your parents. At least your Dad won’t be lugging those A/C units around. You have yourself a whimsical Wednesday my friend. Love and hugs to you, XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Hey Grace!
Thanks so much! I do love that gold foil and the die is so much fun!
LOL! That’s a trooper! I’m sure that your ice cream will be fine! I’m glad that you got a few days of cooler weather, we had the same here but I’ think that it will go back up today! Yay! The really good thing is that my parents had to clean out the attic! That hasn’t been done in almost 40 years! I have a window unit and it works just fine! Hoop you had a good day and got to eat some of your ice cream! Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  3. Hi Justin,

I love your cards! You are super creative and I look forward to seeing what you create each day. Can you send the exact link to which gold mirror card you use from The Paper Cut? I see there is more than one to choose from and it seems like it is called Mirracard…is that the one?
    Thanks so much!

  4. Gorgeous! Love how the die accents the flower but does not match it. Very creative. I’m counting down the rest of ths week. Seeing Bruce Springsteen sunday, I love him

    1. Thanks so much Linda! That’s my favorite part about that die cut too! Oh! That will be a great concert!! Yay for you! πŸ™‚
