Paper Craft Crew 209

Hello… it’s me! LOL! Love that song and Adele for that matter! How are you today?! We have made it to the mid-way point, yay! I had a nice busy day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday, so busy that when I looked at the clock it was 4:30! Where did that day go?! I did get a lot accomplished and that is always a good thing! Renee had her Home Decor class and they made the apple today, it came out really cute! I snuck out a little early again and after dinner I made my card for today and then ran to Target. You can never go in that store and just get what you went for! Do you have that issue too?!

So Wednesday and we are over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s challenge…

PCCCS209 DT Sketch 8-30-2016

I choose the first column down! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To make my  background I created a mask with the Lawn Fawn Ocean Wave Borders and then used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs for the sand and Tumbled Glass and Broken China for the water. I left the mask over the water and flicked some Heidi Swapp Gold and Bronzer Color Shine onto the beach and used my Heat Tool to speed up the drying. The panel is then adhered to the card base with E-Z Runner. Across the top is a piece of Vellum and I cut the bottom with the Lawn Fawn Ocean Wave Borders but reversed from the mask that I made. My greeting is the die cut you from the Hero Arts Thank You Pair Fancy Die, cut once from Ice Gold Curious Metallic and twice from Solar White 110lb. The rest of the greeting is from the My Monthly Hero Kit from May and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. I adhered the three you die cuts together with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then to the Vellum. Some Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape is hidden behind the you and the Vellum panel is adhered to the card. The shells are cut from Ice Gold and White Gold Curious Metallic and adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I added some Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Rose Gold and Pewter Sequins along with a few Wood Veneer Stars on the sand and the card is done! I love that Color Shine and Sequins on the sand, I look at the card and I’m at the beach! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for your visit today! They are always appreciated! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

  1. Oh my Mr. Justin! Just looking at the card I can hear the ocean and smell the salt water in the air! Well, that may be a bit of an exaggeration but you get the idea. I will admit though, the air in Maine mid coast actually does have a hint of the salt water scent because I live extremely close to the Kennebec River which is still brackish in this area. You have certainly captured the beach perfectly in this card. Fantastic job for sure!

A bit on the rainy side today but not a washout by any means. I kind of blew the morning just lounging around and thinking about all that I should be doing instead of actually doing it. LOL Oh well, I’m sure there aren’t any little gnomes that will sneak in a do all of it while I sleep so I know it will all be there tomorrow waiting not so patiently for me. Glad you had a great day at the store yesterday and I hope you have a Whopping Good Wednesday today. I also hope I win the Megabucks tonight. Just kidding, I never win and don’t know why I even buy a ticket. Love and hugs to you my friend. XXOO 🙂

    1. That’s exactly what I get when I look at the card Grace! We get the sea air all the way in the middle of the Island sometimes! Thank you! So happy that you like the card!
I had one of those days, just though about what I had to do and didn’t actually do much! There is always tomorrow! The store is always great! I hope that you won the Megabucks and just haven’t told me yet! You have to be in it to win it! LOL! Love and hugs to you too! XOXO 🙂

  2. This is a really cool card on the challenge you took. I love your coloring of the water and sand with the seashells. I hope you are having a great Wednesday. Take care of yourself.

    1. Thank you HJ! I love to do some ink blended backgrounds! You can really play with them until you get just the look that you want! I had a fantastic Wednesday, hoe you did too! 🙂

  3. Love this, i wish I was at the ocean! The velium loks like low laying clouds. What an interesting Bingo board, so different, love it!

    1. Thanks Linda! I didn’t got to the beach once this year! Shame on me! It’s only 15 minutes from me! The Tic-Tac-Toe board was a fun one! 🙂
