Seashell Hello

I don’t know about you, but I prefer to not have to do much on a Friday! That was not the case yesterday at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. I did manage to get all of the things that I wanted to get accomplished done, but I was so busy that it was 4:00PM before I knew it! I did get my haircut in the morning and then stopped by Heather’s to pick up a nice salad that she had put together for me! I actually ate it at 3:30, more like linner! LOL! After work I managed to get home in time to see my little Daniel! I got a big hug when I came in the house and we played with monster trucks for a bit before my brother took him home. I watched a little TV when I got o my house and then got an idea for a card so I went into the Stampin’ Galley, still my favorite place to create! Today Renee is having a No-Frills Crop so I will get to spend some time with the ladies! Should be a fun day!

The card that crept into my head last night starts off with a base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I took some Heidi Swapp Gold and Bronzer Color Shine and flicked it onto the card front. While that dried I used the Spellbinders Seashells Die D-lites to cut out some Ice Gold, Shadow and White Gold Curious Metallic. I embossed it too, love the texture that gives the die cuts! Before adhering the shells to the card with 3D Foam Squares I added a piece of Washi Tape and a thin strip of Gold Mirror Card across the lower half. My greeting is from the Altenew Label Love Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black onto a piece of Kraft. I used my Scissors to cut out out and adhered to the card with more 3D Foam Squares. To finish the card I added Pretty Pink Posh Pewter, Rose Gold, Charcoal, Sparkling Clear and Gold Sequins. I actually love the way this card came out! I think it looks just like some shells washed up on the beach! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! Yes, I’m holding onto Sumer with all of my might! LOL! Thanks for coming by today! I wish you all great start to your weekend! πŸ™‚

  1. Your creativity is amazing, Justin. This is a stunning card and in person with all the bling papers I’m sure it is even more beautiful. I love the “flicked” background with the washi tape and the beautiful shells. With this heat wave we’ve having for the next few days, you will be loving it. Glad you got some “uncle” time with Daniel. Have a great Saturday.

  2. Good Morning Justin!

Super sweet card today. It reminds me of all the fabulous shells we pick up on the beaches here. Mother Nature is so very beautiful. The thin strip of gold mirror card stock is a gorgeous accent with the few gold sequins and the shell dies are fabulous. All and all a super, duper card for anyone who loves the beach.

It always makes me smile when you get to spend time with Daniel. He is such a sweetie. I am adopting your word “linner” as that is what we had yesterday. Tracy and friend arrived around 2 p.m. and that is when we ate. They have headed to Acadia to do their hiking today and tomorrow and I’m crossing my fingers that they will have time to stop on Monday on the way back home. I just love having the company. You have yourself a Wicked Good weekend my friend. Love and hugs to you! XXOO πŸ™‚
