SIP Challenge 63 – Wonderful Wings!

Not a bad Monday at all! The weather was nice, hot and super sunny, just how I like it! I got a lot accomplished at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, more that I thought I would! I ordered some new products, inquired about my Hero Arts order and started working on my cards for Card Class. I also managed to make my card for today, all that was left to do when I got home was to add some Sequins! After dinner I ran a few errands and then sat down at the computer and caught up on some YouTube subscriptions and got the two posts done for today! I’ll continue working on the cards today and see what else I can come up with! Renee has her Home Decor class today, they are replacing the o in home with an apple! So neat! Oh, and my friend Crystal that came by the store on Saturday wrote a great post about her little adventure! You can read it HERE!

Today I’m over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge Blog for this week’s challenge…

SIP Challenge 63

In my Pretty Pink Posh order the other day were some goodies other than those awesome sequins! My card base today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Gold Mirror Card. I took a piece of Arches 140lb Watercolor Paper and did a wash of some blue and green watercolor paint from my Mijello Mission Gold Palette. After I sped up the drying with my Heat Tool I used the Pretty Pink Posh Mini Storybook 1 Die to cut out my window for my shaker. Some Acetate is adhered to the back and then a little Fun Foam. I added some Pretty Pink Posh Share Handmade Kindness Sequins Mix to the card front and adhered the panel over the top. My butterflies and greeting are from the Pretty Pink Posh Blissful Butterflies Photopolymer Stamp Set and are all heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto more Arches 140lb and colored in with my Mijello Mission Gold Watercolors. I cut them out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered them all to the card with 3D Foam Squares. A few more sequins from the Share Handmade Kindness Mix along with someΒ Gold ones are adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. I love that little butterfly set and dies, the greeting is awesome too! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Go over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Design Team’s cards and enter yours into the gallery! Thank you for coming by and visiting with me today! Have an exceptional Tuesday! πŸ™‚

  1. Wow! Justin, this is another beautiful card. I love the colors, the shaker with the unique window backed by Gold Mirror Card, and of course, all the beautiful butterflies and sequins. That is total beauty!! Have a wonderful day.

  2. Hi Justin:

I know, I know, I know – you keep doing amazing shaker cards to give me the little kick in the butt I need to try making one. What I need is for you to make that promised trip to Maine to hold my hand through making one! After that, shaker cards is probably all I’ll make. Question – what is the best way to actually send them through the USPS without having them destroyed?

I read Crystal’s blog and had to laugh about her Long Island traffic complaints! I know exactly what she is talking about after spending a few years driving my daughter back and forth to Hofstra! Boy, I was so dang happy when she started dating a young man that wanted (evidently he was too star struck to realize what a miserable drive it was) to pick her up and take her back to school. I wanted to hug the kid just for releasing from that drive! LOL

Obviously your card today is stunning! Blue is my favorite color and like a bug, I’m attracted to anything shiny so the gold foil and sequins get me every time. You have yourself a Totally Awesome Tuesday my friend. Love and hugs, XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Hello Grace!
LOL! Yes, I think that I’m putting subconscious messages in your head! I will make the trip, just have to work out the logistics! I like to send them in a bubble mailer and put FRAGILE all over the envelope! It costs a little more but you took the time to make so it should get a little extra special care!
I guess I’m use to it so I don’t think the traffic is that bad! Well, it’s bad but like I said it’s the norm! LOL! Lucky for the boy huh?!
Glad that you enjoyed the card! Plus is my favorite color too and you know me and shiny! Hope you enjoyed your day! Love and hugs! XOXO πŸ™‚

  3. I always love your shaker cards–maybe I’ll get the courage to try to make one myself!

    1. Thanks so much Teresa! You need to give a shaker a try! They are fun and addicting! πŸ™‚
