TGIF! And I actually have a day off! Woo hoo! I can’t wait to go into Manhattan tomorrow with Sandy and Sue! I’m going to try and convince them to have Dirty Bird for lunch! Yes, I’m a little addicted! I have to remember to pick up a few things from the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store that I have to drop off at The Ink Pad tomorrow. I’m going to stop by there after the Mama Elephant event too to see Jane! Hopefully the weather holds out and it doesn’t rain, it can be as overcast as it wants to be but no rain! Last night’s Thirsty Thursday was fun! Heather thought it would be funny to pour water down the back of my shorts, let’s just say she didn’t find it as funny after! Whahahaha! It’s a Fab Friday week so I’m over on the blog for this week’s challenge…
A nice simple sketch! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut out a piece of Black 110lb and Kraft with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles Stackables Lawn Cuts. The Kraft is heat embossed with the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp with Hero Arts Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. To make my circle I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Stackables. The black panel is adhered with E-Z Runner. I added a piece of Vellum and some Foam Tape to the back of the Kraft piece and enclosed some Sparkling Clear Sequins inside of it. My flower is from the Altenew Best Mom Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Hero Arts Intense Black a few times using my Mini MISTI onto Arches 140lb Watercolor Card. I colored in the image with Gansai Tambi Watercolors, used the Coordinating Die to cut it out and adhered it to the card with 3D Foam Squares. For the greeting I heat embossed a sentiment from the Beautiful Lady Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Black 110lb and attached it with more 3D Foam Squares. Yes, I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and some Tuxedo Black Irresistible Pico Embellisher to the flowers. I really do love woodgrain behind florals, just makes them pop!
