Barnwood Pinecones Grateful

So, I finally have gotten caught up on most of the things that I had pending! Yay! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was fun, but then again it always is! Renee, Angie and I laughed a lot today, what better way to spend a Saturday?! I had Chinese with my Parent’s for dinner, I missed them! After that it was crafty time! I finished the card that I started at the Store today and then made my card for today! I also got some of my card that you lovely people sent to photographed and today I can share them with you! So here are a few of the masterpieces that I received…

renee-2016-bday

shannon-2016-bday

From Shannon! Love the card and she gives the best hugs!

I’ll have one more to share with you tomorrow. It came from the furthest away and it’s really cool! 😀

Now on to my little card that I have to share with you today! I have avoided Simon Says Stamp’s Stamptember, honestly I haven’t been wowed by much! Phew! But I had to get the Concord & 9th Collaboration Set and that’s what I used on my card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped a piece of Solar White 80lb with the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Stamp (one of the best woodgrain backgrounds I have ever seen, and you know how I love a little woodgrain!) in Altenew Evening Gray Crisp Ink. It’s mounted to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My two pinecones are form the Collaboration Set, all three layers are stamped in Dark Chocolate Crisp Ink. The first layer once, the outline twice and the shadow twice. The are cut out with the Coordinating Die and adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and Foam Tape. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler. I adhered it to the card with more Foam Tape and added some Pretty Pink Posh Platinum, Rose Gold and Sparkling Clear Sequins to give it a little sparkle! I love that stamp and like I said the Barnwood Background is life changing! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my card and all of the awesome cards that I got for my Birthday! Thank you so much for sharing some of your day with me! Have a spectacular Sunday! 🙂

  1. you’ve got a fun crafty group of friends, Justin!!

Your card is a stunner – love the barnwood background, it’s so perfect for the pinecones. I almost broke down and bought it this weekend but stopped myself. Next time, I shouldn’t listen to myself. LOL

    1. Indeed I do Christy! You are included in them!
Thank you! That Barnwood Background is my favorite woodgrain background stamp ever!! See, you definitely should listen to yourself! LOL! 🙂

  2. Love your card, but I agree with being underwhelmed by SSS’ Stamptember. I think I was on my third order by this time last year! Well, I guess it’s a good thing since I spent all of my crafty money at The Stamp, Paper Ink store last week! ? Great birthday cards–I especially love Renee’s ?

    1. Thank you so much Linda! Yes, the Simon Says Stamp Stamptember has been a bit of a let down, but I’m happy about that! LOL! I appreciate you frequenting the store!! Wasn’t Renee’s card great! LOLOLOL!! 🙂

  3. You have very creative friends, Justin, which makes you a lucky man. I loved seeing their creations. Your card today is very pretty. I love the layered stamped pine cones and the greeting in platinum to go with the beautiful barnwood background. Have a great day!

    1. Thank you HJ! It was fun to share the cards with all of you! I love that background stamp! Best woodgrain ever! Hope that you have a super day! 🙂

  4. WOW Justin! Isn’t Sue’s card spectacular! All the cards are really super, and yes, you are one lucky young man. Your card for today is just gorgeous. I love pine cones and the combination of the Cherry Cobbler and Evening Gray Crisp is the absolute perfect color combo for fall. You never cease to amaze me!

Sounds like the place to be on “the island” is the Stamp, Ink, Paper store. So much laughter and fun. And you are one of the lucky people to actually have a job that involves loving what you do. So many of us really haven’t had that opportunity.

Crazy day here yesterday and it wasn’t fun but I guess you have to have a bad one once in a while in order to appreciate the good ones. Thanks for sharing your lovely birthday cards, it’s always fun to see what others are making. Race day today so I will spend the afternoon vegging, snacking and yelling at the T.V. Love and hugs to you my friend! Have a Sensational Sunday. XXOO 🙂

    1. Yes Grace! She made an awesome shaker!! I love all of them! I am a very lucky guy! I just had to have those pinecones! They are great to make a nice simple card! Thank you!!
Yes, we do have a good time at the store! I am so lucky to get to do what I love everyday!
The bad days definitely make even the regular days seem so much better! I was so happy to get the cards, the fact that people took the time to send them makes me so happy! Hope that you enjoyed your race! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂

  5. I like the “I’m bringing birthdays back” and having the number amount of the birthday cards sent after ‘bringing them back’. hadn’t noticed this all these months of folks doing the “I’m bringing birthdays back”. Now it makes sense–duh!

  6. OK, so I’m not crazy, I honestly thought I was the only person who was not impressed with SSS’Stamptember. I as only impressed with one item and of course it was sold out before it became available. Oh, well, I did damage over Labor Day and have not touched any items yet

I am tying hard this weekend to get alittle organized. My goal is to get my cards in a file system where they can be found easily per occasion and ready to be mailed out. OMG< After 7 plus years of DT work I'm overwhelmed. I did sort thru everything and just packed up a box to got to our military men. Now to get envelopes for the rest And file them.. I was getting flustered knowing that I made a card for an event but not finding it, or finding it in my box all bent up.

I'm sure you are organized and do not have this problem. But by next week I'll belooking good.

Gorgeous creation! Love the Barnwood background stamp.

    P.S. Gorgeous B-day cards

    1. No Linda, I haven’t liked most of what they have released. The Neat and Tangled set was cute but too specific. They released the Altenew set today and well, not loving it either.
I wish that I was as organized as you think I am! LOL! I have cards all over the house! I’ll post a picture soon! You’ll feel so much better! Thanks for thinking that I’m that organized!
Glad that you like the card! Love the Barnwood Background!
Yes, the cards from my peeps were spectacular!! 🙂

  7. I know – I am on the slow boat to blogland, but thanks for posting the birthday card that I made you! I’m so happy that you liked it! Hope you have a great year ahead my friend!

    1. No… not at all Sue! LOL! Thank you of making the card for me! I love it! It’s an awesome shaker! I feel extra special that you cleaned a space to make it for me!! 🙂
