Golden Skyline Congrats

Crop days at the store are always fun! I got to do another MISTI Demo, this time with my friend Evelyn! We stamped out the Vintage Roses from Altenew in the lovely Cool Summer Nights Crisp Ink! I can’t wait to see the layout that she adds them to! I worked on my card and showed my friend Linda the finished product. She will be a little surprised to see that I changed it! After work I stopped home and saw Taylor, Daniel and Tristan for a little bit before I headed out to my party! When I walked in the house Daniel ran over to me and gave me a big hug and a kiss! There is no better greeting in the world! My brother and his wife had date night! Aww… so cute! The party that I went to last night was my friend Adam’s 40th. All of my peeps were there so we had a very nice time! Today is the second day of the crop! More shenanigans at the store! šŸ˜€

Like I had mentioned, I worked on my card while I was at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. For my background I heat embossed the Hero Arts Kelly’s Background Stars in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Arches 140lb Watercolor Paper. To color it I used Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon and Twisted Citron Distress Ink squished onto an acrylic block, watered down and applied to the background with a brush. To speed up the drying time I used my Heat Tool and then trimmed a little of of each side before adhering it to the card. Some Gold Mirror Card is cut out with the Impression Obsession City Landscape Layers Dies and that’s adhered with E-Z Runner. Under that is another strip of Black 110lb with a piece of Washi Tape over it. The fun buildings are from the Hero Arts Kelly’s It’s Christmastime Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed the image in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of White Gold Curious Metallic and then used my Scissors to cut it out. I adhered it to the card with 3D Foam Squares. For the greeting I die cut two piece of Black 110lb with the congrats die from the Hero Arts Congrats Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set. One of them is then heat embossed with more Copper Embossing Powder and then adhered to the other die cut, slightly offset, with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then I used Multi-Matte Medium to adhered it to the card. Yes, here come the sequins! LOL! A nice scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold, Gold and Onyx Sequins complete the card. I love that fun bold background stamp and the cool little images in that mini set! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! Thanks very much for visiting! Have a super Sunday! šŸ™‚

  1. You are so clever adding the dashed line at the bottom of the card. Now it looks like your beautifully embossed house is sitting right on Park Avenue! Love how the background turned out! Can’t wait to ink up that background stamp. Please stop enabling!!

    1. Thanks linda! The house needed a street to be on! I changed out the greeting too! The awesome was bothering me, it was too big for my little house! Ha ha! Enabling… I don’t know what you are talking about! See you soon! šŸ™‚

  2. What a beautiful skyline, Justin! Love the background too – it reminds me of the sky at sunset at the beach where I just spent the last two weeks (and why I haven’t been visiting/commenting). I’ve been home for less than 12 hours and I’m already wishing I never left. LOL Someday I will be there permanently…

    1. Thank you Christy! Sounds like you had a lovely vacation! I think that I would be wishing the same thing! I hope that your dream comes true! šŸ™‚

  3. Hi Justin:

I have to say that, like Linda, my eye was drawn to the “street” in front of the house. That WAS really clever! The silhouetted NY sky line in gold mirror paper is outstanding and I have been in Manhattan at sunset when the sun reflecting on the buildings as it set did actually make them look gold. Fabulous card from a fabulous designer. Love it.

It was an exciting race last night but kept us up until midnight. The hubs daughter is here today and anxious to take a ride in his “new” 1940 pickup truck. Gotta run. Have yourself a Sun Filled Sunday. Love and hugs to you my friend. XXXOOO šŸ™‚

    1. Hello Grace!
When I got home I just had to add the street, it needed it! I think the card would make a great congrats on your new home card! Thank you so much!
Glad that you enjoyed your race! Hubs truck sounds awesome! Hope that you had a nice ride! Love and hugs to you! XOXO šŸ™‚

  4. The golden skyline is beautiful. I too love the street for the brownstone. Seems like an apropo scene for today…I remember like it was yesterday…so horrible and sad…(except for the sentiment).
Do you use the mini size of the Misti? Thoughts on it please. How do I see a catalog or something for what you sell at your establishment? I would rather get things from YOU than anyone else!
Son and almost-fiance will be here to watch the Jets and Bengals on tv and then we eat my ribs dinner — Yum! We love when they visit nearly every weekend. Hugs and love, Nancy B

    1. Thank you Nancy! I love that little brownstone and the background was fun and quick to make!
I like the Mini MISTI, I have both sizes and definitely use that one more. I can get you almost anything that you want! If I don’t have it I’ll find a way to get it! I appreciate that! You can give the store a call or sen me an email at [email protected]!
Aww, that sounds like a very nice evening! Good for you! Hugs back at ya! XO šŸ™‚

  5. What a beautiful card with the gold skyline and that lovely background. I think it’s great you give us a list of all your supplies, but I agree with Linda E about you being a huge enabler. You really know how to test our self-discipline, don’t you? I think your days have more than 24 hours with all the things you get done. I think my days are a few hours short of that! lol Take care and enjoy your day, my friend.

    1. Thank you HJ! I find that when I go to someones blog and they don’t list what they used I get really annoyed! Yes, I’m sorry about the enabling! LOL! Sometimes I don’t know where I fond the time to get everything done either honestly! I just go with the flow and it a fast moving one! LOL! I hope that you had a nice day! šŸ™‚

  6. Love it! The background looks like sunset, and I love “YOUR HOUSE” in front of the skyline. Take care
