Large Floral Thank You

Boy did I get home late last night! I had a lovely and very busy day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! My friend Antoinette, who I haven’t seen in a very long time stopped by and Marianne who always makes me laugh! My friend Linda was there too! After work I stopped by the house and dropped off my bags before heading over to George’s to get him and Heather so we could go over to our friend’s block party. We had a great time and got to see lots of other peeps. Patty was there with her new puppy. She is part Siberian Husky and part Shepard and so cute that I had to hold her for most of the night! On the way home we stopped at the Diner and I had some of Heather’s French fries with melted mozzarella and brown gravy! Haven’t had that in years! But the time I got home it was 1:00AM and I still had to make a quick card!

Thankfully I had one of the backgrounds left over from the Thank You cards that I helped Erika make the other day! The image is the Hero Arts Large Floral Background Wood Mount Stamp and it’s stamped in Soft Lilac. I adhered it to a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My thank you is die cut using the Hero Arts Thank You Pair Fancy Dies from a piece of Gold Mirror Card and then twice from some more Solar White 110lb. I adhered them to each other and the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. All that was left to do was to add some Clear Droplets, Sweet Pea Sequins Mix and Gold Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and the card is done! Sometimes a nice quick card is fun and I think these would make a great set of cards to give to someone stamped in different colors! I hope that you like my quick card for today! Thanks for visiting and have a happy Sunday! πŸ™‚

  1. I love that background stamp with the Gold Mirror Card. It makes a beautiful card in soft colors. I agree with you that it would be a great gift duplicated in different colors. You have the day off today so maybe you can sleep in. Enjoy your day off, my friend.

    1. Thanks HJ! I think that background stamps are very underused! I’m going to do a whole class on backgrounds! I did get to sleep in and it was lovely! Hope that you are enjoying your weekend! πŸ˜‰

    1. Thank you Karen! The dies is actually not in at the moment but I can add it to my next order! πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks very much Linda! It was very nice to get to spend the day wth you! Yes, the block party was fun! πŸ™‚

  2. Hi Justin!

When I first looked at your card for today I thought you had stamped and then put a piece of clear vellum over it to give it that very soft look. And you just know I love the gold mirror Thank you. This card may be simple but it has a huge effect. A set of these cards would make a fantastic gift for a bridal shower in the color of the bride’s wedding party. I’m certain a future bride would just love it. So very beautiful.

Sounds like you had a fantastic evening and well worth losing a bit of sleep over. I can’t remember the last time I went to a block party and frankly, didn’t even know people still had them. I kind of thought they were a thing of the past. So glad to know that young folks are still actually enjoying each other’s company in real life instead of just through their smart phones.

Started decorating for fall yesterday. Boy, I know I’m getting old. I used to take down the regular house decorations and put up the seasonal ones in an afternoon. Now it takes me two days! Getting half of what I want to do in twice as much time. Very frustrating but still worth the effort. You have yourself a Super Sunday my friend. Racing is at Darlington today so it should be fast and furious. LOL Love and hugs, XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Hello Grace!
I had originally thought to do the vellum but the color was so nice and soft to begin it really didn’t need it. They definitely would make a nice gift set! I will have to keep this design in mind when doing a set of cards in the future!
I did have the best time with my friends!
Everything in the house takes me longer that it used to! What’s my excuse! LOL! I enjoyed my day yesterday! Hope that you are all finished decorating and that you got to watch you race! Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  3. very pretty card with the sequins, and the gold pops, fitting because September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month and the ribbon is Gold! (sorry, but I get a bit pushy in raising awareness in September) Anyways your fries sound very similar to poutine, one of Quebec’s contributions to Canadian culinary culture, yummy!

    1. Thank you Lynne! I didn’t know that September was Childhood Cancer Awareness month, thanks for mentioning it! I need to remember that if I’m ever in Quebec that I need to order Poutine! πŸ™‚

  4. Gorgeous! Love the background stamp. Beautiful day here, hubby and I just came back from brunch. Very crafty evening yesterday, lets see if today brings the same

    1. Thanks Linda! I love that background stamp too! So funky! That’s great that you had a crafty evening and I hope that it continued today! πŸ™‚
