Paper Craft Crew 211

Yes, another gorgeous day! Not too hot again, well, I like it pretty warm so it was in the 80’s, not too hot by my standards! I had a very productive day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I got some much needed administrative stuff done and managed to get my newsletter sent out! Brian and my friend Dave stopped by the store! What a nice surprise that was! After work I went over to AT&T and met up with Heather and Stephanie. Heather is getting a new iPhone 7, it’s being shipped out on the 20th. After that I took Stephanie home and Heather and I went over to Brian and Kim’s. We sat outside and got all caught up! Around 9:30 Heather and I left and picked up Domino’s Pizza and had a very late dinner at her house. Today I have to cut for class, Sue is going to stop by and help me! She’s the best!

It’s Wednesday and that means that it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

Today is day three of Linda’s challenge, two more days to go! I started my card off with a base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. next up is a piece of patterned paper, I think that it’s Authentique! I took a piece of Dark Molasses and heat embossed the thanks from the Concord & 9th Give Thanks Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder and adhered it toΒ the patterned paper. My leaves are die cut from Gold Mirror Card, Lemon Sorbet and Candied Yam using the Concord & 9th Layering Leaves Dies. I also flagged the end of a strip of Gold Mirror Card and put a little May Arts Natural Twine behind it and adhered it with 3D Foam Squares. In the top left is another piece of Lemon Sorbet with both ends flagged, also adhered with 3D Foam Squares. My leaves are adhered with Multi-Purpose Spray. A little sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Lemon Drop and Tangerine Sequins completes the card. A nice fall card, I’m loving how versatile the challenge set is! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team Card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Visit the BLOG for more inspiration from the rest of the Team and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you for coming by today! Have a happy Hump Day! πŸ™‚

  1. Love, love, love the colors on this card! Those are fabulous dies and the overall appearance of this card fits beautifully with the way I have the house decorated for fall. You are over the top yet again Justin!

Glad to hear you had a great day yesterday and I hope today is just as good. Sounds like you accomplished quite a lot and that is always good, especially when it’s the administrative stuff which, in my opinion, is often just a pain in the neck and not fun at all. At least you rounded the day off with some of your peeps and fun.

I decided I’m tired of all the summer foods to I’m going to throw a turkey in the oven and have that and sweet potatoes and corn for dinner tonight. I don’t think I want to see another hamburger, hot dog or chicken salad for the next few months. I need to start making soups for the freezer for this winter soon. Today and tomorrow are filled with stuff that to me is NOT fun. Hope you have a Worthwhile Wednesday. Love and hugs, XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you Grace! Hmm… you like the Fall colors huh?! LOL! I love the dies and stamps in these sets, one of my faves from Concord & 9th!
I did have a wonderful Tuesday and yesterday was great too! I do like when I can get a lot done and not have to think about it again! No better way to end the day than with my friends!
You are too funny! There will be plenty of time for “Winter” foods! Sorry that you have not fun stuff to do, I have that kind of stuff a lot! I just try to make it fun! Looking forward to class today! Hope you have a super day! Love and hugs! XOXO πŸ™‚

  2. LOVE this card!!! The leaves are just beautiful (especially the gold one). And of course… the sequins!!!
You always put a bunch of elements together beautifully. So talented.

    1. Thank you Gerri! I’m fond of the gold leaf too, and the sequins, always the best! You always say such nice things! That’s because you are wonderful! πŸ™‚

  3. Great take on the sketch, Justin. I love the leaves and the gold embossing and of course, the sequins with a smidge of gold mirror card. Beautiful!! I hope your day is going smoothly. I’ve had a great day so far. I’m enjoying all these warm days before the cooler weather descends upon us. My biggest issue right now is that it is getting dark earlier than I want. I like to take my walk after dinner when it is cooler and I don’t need sunscreen. LOL Oh well, I’ll just have to adjust and be thankful walking outside is still an option until the cold weather comes. Take care. Hugs to you.

    1. Thanks so much HJ! I’m really having with my little challenge! I did have a very nice day yesterday and I’m glad to hear that you did too! I’m not looking forward to the shorter, cooler days at all either. Means that I can’t have the top down anymore! Hugs back to you my friend! πŸ™‚
