Paper Craft Crew 213

And another week is just flying by! It’s Wednesday already! I did have another productive day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, got some more projects finished, made another card, checked in some more MISTI’s. Renee was off yesterday but stopped by to pick up some supplies so she could work on some stuff at home. After work it was the usual, dinner at my Parent’s and then home. I did replace my August Smart Lock with a new updated one that works with Apple’s HomeKit. Now I can just tell Siri to unlock my door! Oh how I love modern technology! I need to look into having the lights come on automatically when I get home too! Yes, I’m a geek at heart! LOL!

If it’s Wednesday then that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch…

I had some fun with some new Hero goodies on today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut a piece of Solar White 80lb to 4 x 5 1/4 and drew a line across it with a pencil to decided where I wanted to do my embossing. The top piece is heat embossed with Hero Arts White Puff Embossing Powder using the Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints Background Stamp. Once I had that done I cut off the lower portion and used the Hero Arts Paper Layering Snowflakes with Frame Cuts, I didn’t use the Frame Cut part, and ran it through my Artisan X-plorer a few times to cut out multiples of the same snowflake. I picked up the dimensional parts and then added 3D Foam Squares to both panels and adhered them to the card. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Christmas Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. I flagged the ends and adhered it to the card with more 3D Foam Squares. My 25 is cut from a piece of Champagne Curious Metallic using the Hero Arts Classic Numbers Frame Cuts and adhered with Multi-Matte Medium to the greeting strip. The snowflakes needed a little something so I added Pretty Pink Posh Platinum and Sparkling Clear Sequins to the middles and the card is done! I love those Paper Layering Snowflakes, so cool the way you just lift up some parts and that White Puff Embossing Powder is pretty neatΒ too! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours into the gallery! 3. Good Morning Justin:

Cloudy and overcast day here so I was happy to see your bright and beautiful card for today. Funny, but the first thing I thought was “what a fabulous 25th anniversary card this would be”. Your combination of embossed images with dimensional images is genius! I mean really – who’d a thunk! I think this is one of the most beautiful and elegant cards you have ever created and boy, it deserves to be framed for sure. I’ts not just a card, it’s a piece of artwork. Can you tell I love it? LOL

Cold, cloudy, not very pretty day out there. I have a lunch date with a friend for Chinese food so that will save me from having to cook tonight. Meanwhile I don’t seem to be accomplishing all I wanted to while the hubs is away. Oh well, it will still be there waiting for me as there are no little gremlins that will sneak in and take care of what needs to be done while I sleep. Love and hugs to you my friend and wishes for a Whimsical Wednesday! XXOO πŸ™‚

Actually, I laughed so hard at yesterday’s “ape picking” comment! We knew what you meant, but ape picking is a much better mental image if you are going to make a spelling boo boo. Thanks, I needed that laugh. I’m still chuckling.
