Paper Players 313

I’m typing my post on my MacBook Air for the second night in a row. I used it last night because I did it while I was at Heather’s and tonight because I’m upgrading the iMac to Mac OS10 Sierra. I have been using the beta on my iMac at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and am really liking it! I’m really happy with the new iOS10 for my iPhone and iPad Pro too, although I have noticed a little less battery time! I’m sure that they will get that straightened out in the next update. Have all of you that are iPhone/iPad users updated? I’m a big techie so yes, I would like to know what you think! The Store was fun yesterday, Renee had her Foiling Around class and I tried to get things done but alas my concentration just wasn’t with me. I’ll give it another shot today! Sue did come by the store yesterday and then she picked me up after work so we could go to IKEA to get some goodies for her craft room re-do! We also had SmashBurger for dinner! YUM! Instead of Thirsty Thursday tonight I’ll be going to see George play softball with Heather and Stephanie, that should be fun!

My little bit of craftiness that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Before we get to that though I want to thank Colleen for choosing me as her Cut Above for last week’s challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE. Now on to this week…

There is a set that I have been dying to ink up and I thought this challenge would be a good time to do so! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the leaves from the Hero Arts Grateful Leaves Stamp & Die Combo in Hero Arts Autumn Ombre Ink with the veins stamped in Cup O Joe and then I cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. The coffee cup is from the Coffee Cup Stamp & Die Combo and is stamped in Red Royal for the cup and Cup O Joe for the lid and sleeve. All of those pieces are also cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I stamped the greeting from the Leaves Set in Red Royal onto the sleeve and then used 3D Foam Squares to adhere the sleeve to the cup. My leaves are then adhered to the card with Dot Runner Adhesive, some DMC Gold Thread is nested and then the coffee cup is adhered with more 3D Foam Squares. Yes, there are those Pretty Pink Posh sequins again! This time some Gold, Raspberry and Marigold ones! I love that coffee cup and the Autumn Ombre Ink is just so cool! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you so very much for continuing to stop by! Have an awesome Thursday! 🙂

  1. Morn’ Justin, Love the coffee cut and “give” thankx. Just enough. The coffee is pumpkin spice I’m sure, by the fall colors on the card. Ha. Ha. Judy loved her gift.
    🙂

    1. Hi Nancy! Thank you! I do enjoy a little coffee, especially with friends! LOL! I prefer just regular Starbucks but it can be a PSL If you like! So happy that Judy liked her Katana! You’re a good friend! 🙂

  2. Love that bright red Fall coffee cup with those gorgeous autumn leaves tucked in behind – mines a pumpkin spiced latte please! Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players this week! (And I’ve not been brave enough to update my iPad software yet …!)

    1. Thanks so much Jennifer! LOL! I like that, the dreaded PSL! It’s a little crazy how popular that is! 🙂

  4. Well Justin – by the time I read the first line of your blog today my mind was boggled. So, I went back and read it three more times and still didn’t know what the heck you were talking about. Can you tell I’m not a techie? I mean really – can you tell? I tried to fool you into thinking I was one but that just didn’t work did it!!!

What a super duper fall card you’ve made for us today. Those leaves with the separate vein stamp are just to fabulous. I also agree that your color combo for this particular card is awesome. Of course your photo staging really helps bring out the beauty of this card. Absolutely gorgeous.

Still no rain here. It is forecast to hit 80 today and then by tomorrow we will remain in the high 50’s to low 60’s for the next week or so. Fall decided to crash on us this year. The leaves are turning brown and dropping from the trees. I think it’s been so dry here this summer that I’m afraid our foliage season will be pretty bleak. The hubs tells me to hang in there, it might surprise us. I hope he’s right. Meantime, you have yourself a Tasty Thursday my friend. Love and hugs, XXOO 🙂

    1. LOL! Yes, we are not all techies Grace! But I am for sure! You’ll get there!!
Thank you! I’m thought that you might enjoy my leaves! I love that silly little branch with the neat colors on it, matched the card perfectly!
The weather always does that! No ease into the next season, it’s summer one day and then winter the next! I think that the hubby is right! You’ll get some pretty leaves! Had a great Thursday, hope that you did too! Love and hugs back at ya! XOXO 🙂
