Simple Celebrations

What a lovely day we had! The weather was just perfect so I made sure that I drove around with the top down in the car all day! Got my haircut in the morning and then ran a few errands before heading over to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. Our friend Nancy stopped by an spent a little time with us. She and I chatted about YouTube Craft videos that we watch and crafty things! I also worked on my house and made a card and watercolored some pieces for another one. When I got home I had dinner and then sat down and watched a little TV. Around 9:30 I ran over to Target to pick up some necessities and then crafted for a few before calling a night. Today Renee has a no-frills crop so I will get to see some of the ladies!

For the card that I have to share with you today I used a new set from Altenew. The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. All of my images and greeting are from the Altenew Celebrations Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black, did some masking and then colored in the images with Copics leaving a lot of white. After I adhered the panel to the card I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins. I love the sketch feel to the Celebrations Set and while fussy cutting the bouquet was time consuming I love the way they just look like they are sitting in between the two gifts! I think this would make a fun simple wedding card! I hope that you like my card for today! Thank you, as always, for taking a little time to stop by and check in with me! Have a superb Saturday! πŸ™‚

  1. Beautiful card today, Justin. I love the simplicity of it and yes, it would be a perfect wedding card. I’m going to a theatre organ concert tonight, which should be lots of fun. Glad you had time to drive around with the top down on a beautiful day. Have a super Saturday, my friend.

    1. Thank you HJ! I like it because it’s so simple looking too! You evening does sound like fun! Hope you had a great time! Love the top down in the car! Hope you are having a great weekend! πŸ™‚

  2. HI Justin:

Hopefully my comments will stay on the computer today! You tech savvy people enjoy all the stuff your electronics do but I just find them so frustrating. Maybe it’s because I don’t have an 8 year old to rescue me every time I get into trouble on the computer! πŸ™‚

Anywhooooooooooo – Your card today is lovely and yes, a perfect card for a wedding. I can’t believe that you fussy cut the bouquet and boy, you did one heck of a super job. Sounds like the Stamp, Paper, Ink store is THE place to be for fun on the Island. I so want to come see it.

Glad you got to put your top down yesterday. Those days will be few and far between in the coming weeks. Yesterday started out all rainy and yukky but then the sun came out and it was in the 70’s. Just the way I like it. Got up this morning to low 50’s outside and only 62 in the house. The hubs failed to remove the A/C units from the windows before he left on his trip and I refuse to turn on the heat with the A/C units in the windows so I will be wearing sweatshirts instead of tee shirts very shortly. LOL

You have yourself a Satisfying Saturday my friend. Have fun at the store. Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

    1. Hello Grace!
Your comment stayed! I have no idea what happened yesterday. Sometimes there are those little computer gremlins! Not just you!
Thank you! I though that it would be nice for a weeding too! I need to get the dies, not that that would have helped much with the masking! I do love the Store! Can’t wait for you to come!
Yes, not too many top down days left, gotta get them in now! We had the same weather here yesterday! I know that you are really loving the weather! LOL! Better get those AC’s out soon! I hope that you had a nice day too Grace! Lots to get done today! Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  3. Beautiful creation, fussy cut? OMG not me unless I’m dying, LOL. I can see this set being used for so many other occasions.

Just came back from a late buch with a dear old friend. I’m trying so hard every 4-6 weeks to do a get together. Nothing fancy just a meal. Otherwise times flies and you never see dear friends. I d admnire that about you, even though you are stretched thin you see see your friends.

Thank you again for the invoice, its paid. I could not enter shipping address? but I did enter billing, its the same.

    1. Thanks Linda! I actually don’t mind fussy cutting! It’s a fun set and very different for Altenew!
I like the way that you make time to see your friends! That is very important! I try to see my friends as much as I possibly can.
Thank you so much for the order! That’s odd about the address, I’ll have to look into that! It will go out tomorrow! πŸ™‚

  4. Wow! This is such an unexpected look for an Altenew stamp set! But there are so many great elements to mix and match. Love the masking and the coloring on your card! It’s terrific!

    1. Yes Linda! I think that’s why I liked it so much! Thank you! Hope that you are having a great weekend! πŸ™‚
