SIP Challenge 66 – Anything But a Card!

What a lovely rainy, drizzly, overcast day we had here yesterday! I overslept, got up at 9:00! Made it to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store by 10:05! Renee and I both had very productive days! I got a lot of work done and managed to get a few projects finished too! After I came home and had some dinner I saw Taylor for a bit and then went over to Brian and Kim’s too meet up with Heather for a little early Thirsty Thursday! We had a nice chat and got caught up! Today I want to get some more projects finished at the Store and maybe even get my calendar finished! Yay! Before I get to today’s post though our friend Linda from Chicago accused me of being organized! LOL! Well, here is a picture of the fine tuned organization that I use for my cards…

There are many more piles just like that! Filed away… I think not! 😛

Today I’m over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog for this week’s Anything But a Card challenge…

Being around all of that scrapbooking with Renee makes me feel the need to do a layout every once in a while! My page background is a piece of paper from The Authentique Fabulous 12×12 Line and it’s mounted to a piece of Black 110lb. The photo of Maggie and I was taken in January 2015 in Disney. I mounted it to a piece of Crisp Green and then to piece of Rose Chintz. To the left of the picture is a piece of Black 110lb that I cut out with the Bo Bunny Picture This Die that I borrowed from Angie! The strips across the top and down the left are more Crisp Green with a flower from the Altenew Golden Garden Photopolymer Stamp Set stamped in Hero Arts Intense Black. My flowers are from the same set and are also stamped in Intense Black onto Arches 140lb Watercolor Card. I used my Mijello Mission Gold Watercolors to color them and the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. They are adhered to the page with 3D Foam Squares. Finally I needed the perfect greeting (or journaling in this case) and I found it in the Altenew Painted Inspiration Photopolymer Stamp Set. I really love that Golden Garden Set with the sketchy flowers and the Painted Inspirations Set for the lovely greetings! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team project for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Anything But a Card Challenge! The rest of the Design Team has some amazing projects to share with you over on the BLOG so be sure to go and pay them a visit! We would love to see what you come up with so make sure that you post your project in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by to see me today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

  1. WOW! I can’t believe it’s going to be two years since that photo was taken and we had our little side vacay before our SU conference. I had such a blast and now we gotta plan to have you come out to Cali before I make a move next Summer. You are our fabulous all time creator and I’m blessed to call you a friend!

    1. I know! It doesn’t seem like it was that long ago! I had so much fun with you in Florida!! Yes! I definitely need to come out and see you!! I am the one that is blessed to call you friend! Not many people have a heart as big as you do!! Love you loads!! XOXO 🙂

  2. Great page Justin! I love all the details, especially the strips on the top and down the side. Frames it out very nicely.
    🙂

  3. HI Justin:

What a perfect (and true) saying you used for this great scrapbook page. I’m not into scrap booking but I have several friends that are and they also loved this page. To me, beside the terrific photo of you and Maggie, the slide disc (I can’t remember what you call that or the little machine you looked at it through) is the grabber! AHA, now I remember – it’s a View Master Disc. Anywhooooooo – your page came out beautifully and I love it.

None of the rain reached us yet again. It’s really getting scary dry around here and yet my sister in Florida said they have had more rain in her area this year then in the past 10 years. I mean really – you people have GOT to learn to share! LOL You have yourself a Terrific Tuesday my friend and thanks for sharing all you do. Love and hugs, XXOO 🙂

    1. Hey Grace!
Thank you! I do love that Painted Greeting Set! Yes! I love that ViewMaster slide! So cool! Maggie and I had such a great time in Florida! Hope we can do it again one day!
We had a fairly nice day yesterday, sorry you didn’t get any rain. I would gladly share any of the weather that we get here with you! Tuesday was pretty good, hope it was far you too! Love and hugs to you too! XOXO 🙂

  4. What a great pic on your page today and I love the pretty flowers and the stamped green strips add so much.
I had to laugh about what Grace said about sharing the rain! Too funny!! Have a great day! Hugs my friend.

    1. Thanks HJ! Shows my lack of time to organize things! LOL! The green strips are my favorite part of that page! Will have to do something like that on a card! Yup, Grace is a very funny lady! Hope you had a nice day! Hugs to you! 🙂

    1. Why thank you Teresa! Scrapbooking isn’t my thing, but it’s fun to make a page every once a while! 🙂

  5. OMG! You are too funny. OK organized chaos. I feel better now. My piles match yours!

Love this layout, do you want to work on my photos?

    1. Ha ha! Told you! LOL! Yes, there are piles everywhere!
Thanks!! I’m not really a scrapbooker, I’m sure that your layouts are much better than mine! 🙂
