Fab Friday 98

I got my new Concord & 9th and Mama Elephant yesterday at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and got it all checked in. I couldn’t wait to play with the new Concord & 9th as you’ll see by today’s card! I did get some very sad news, Heather’s Dad Arthur passed away. Unfortunately Heather was in Boston when it happened and had to come home but didn’t get to the hospital in time. She was very close to her Dad and is very upset. He was a very nice man with a great sense of humor. I was lucky enough to get to know him through family vacations and holidays. He will definitely be missed. My toothache is no better, I think I may ask someone to run over my head and that’s where I’m at! 😀

It’s an extra good Friday because it’s a Fab Friday. This time we have a timely color combo…

Like I said, I used some new Concord & 9th goodies on today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black where I heat embossed the greeting from the Concord & 9th Happy Words Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White. To make the shaker I used the new Concord & 9th Happy Card Frame and Mistletoe Card Frame Add-On Dies. It’s cut from Crisp Green with the bow from Purple Hearts and the berries from Candied Yam. I backed it with some Acetate and Foam Tape. My shaker filling is Spring Green and Purple Velvet Sequin Mixes from Little Things by Lucy. I added it to the card font and then adhered the window to it. I love the way that the Card Frame Dies work! They are so cool and I can’t wait to see what additional dies they come out with. I hope that you enjoyed my Halloween Holiday card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to see me today! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

  1. Justin,
Sorry about Heather’s Dad. It’s tough losing a parent.
And you should get that tooth checked by a dentist but I’m sure you know that.

Yes, I should get the tooth looked at but I know what’s wrong, just need some antibiotics.

  2. Sympathy to Heather, I lost my dad when I was 11. The pain never goes away, yu just learn to accept it.

OK, coming from a nurse, “You know you need to see a dentist, right?”

Love this card, especially the spooky reflection in the picture, LOL. These dies look like fun!
