Fab Friday 99

It rained all day here yesterday and was on the chilly side until last night when it warmed up a bit. I had another productive day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! A few people came in to make the card with the Concord & 9th Christmas Cottage Stampsย and Dies! Love that 3D Pop-Up, especially since it fits inside a standard A2 envelope! I also got a kit put together with four card samples using the Lawn Fawn Snow Cool Stamp Set and Lawn Cuts and made my card for today! Taylor came by again, love when she comes to visit me! After work I had some dinner with the Parent’s and then went over to see Heather for a bit. We made a quick trip to Walmart and then watched a little TV. Today I’m going to put the kits together and start working on some more! They would make great gifts for the beginning stamper! They have everything except adhesives to make a bunch of cards! I also have some fun news to share with you! There is an article with me in it in the Holiday Issue of Rubber Stamp Madness Magazine!! How cool is that?! You can go to their web site and take a peek! I’m not gonna lie, I’m pretty excited! ๐Ÿ˜€

Not only is it Friday but it’s time for new Fab Friday challenge…

I wanted to use a new set that I just recently acquired from Hero Arts! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added a piece of Black 110lb to serve as a mat for my background. I used a Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Hero Arts Cornflower Ink to create it. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The strip across the lower half has a greeting from the Hero Arts Christmas Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set stamped in Onyx Black. My images are from the Hero Arts Wintertime Fun Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black and used my Copics to color them in. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I added some White Puff Embossing Powder to the tree with a Versa-Marker and heat embossed it. The images are then adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins on the tree complete the card! I love the little animals in the set, adorable but not too cutesy! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Pay a visit to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thank you for spending some of your Friday with me! Have a fantabulous day! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Hi Justin:

I have to agree on how sweet those little animals are. I really can’t seem to get into the cartoon y ones. The white puff EP is such fun to use and really does make a difference when your wanting snow on your card. All in all just a great card for the coming Christmas season. Oh – terrific coloring job also.

The rain you had yesterday has arrived here today. In our area it is rain, up in the north counties it is snow. My girls in CT actually had some snow yesterday and they were not happy. After all, “Mom” is the one that lives in snow country! LOL By the way – I’ve been meaning to tell you that I really like the presentation of your cards on what looks to be a slab off a log. Is it really wood or just a composite for decoration? Either way, I like the look it provides for you card display. You have yourself a Fun Filled Friday my friend. Love and hugs to you, XXOO ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hello Grace!
Thanks! Yes, they are cute but not cutesy if that makes any sense! I do love my Copics and need more of them!
Some of my friends in CT had snow yesterday too, way too early for that! I would rather the rain. Finally! Someone noticed that I changed my base!! Yes, it’s a real slab of wood! I actually got it from Marshall’s! Hope that you have a great day! Love and hugs my friend! XOXO ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Congrats!!!! What an honor, you are so talented!!!!

Cute card! It looks vintage to me, and i love vintage.

I’m glad you got our rain and cold, the storms were bad here on Tuesday. Maybe if you are good I’ll share the Indian Summer we will have until Monday, LOL

    1. Thank you Linda! I was so excited when they asked me!
The card definitely has a vintage feel to it! Glad that you like it!
