Grateful Spooky Halloween Wreath

So I was hoping that when I got to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday morning there would be internet. Nope! We had to call Optimum and they sent a really nice guy out to fix it. He gave me his cell phone just incase they cut it again! I managed to get a few things done and so did Renee. Today is the start of the weekend crop! The crops are always fun! I’m going to try and be really productive! 😀

When I got home last night I realized that I didn’t have a card for today! I went into the Stampin’ Galley and this is what I came up with. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. To create my background I used the Hero Arts Grateful Leaves Photopolymer Stamp Set and Autumn Ombre Ink. The veins on the leaves are stamped in Just Rust. Next up I die cut some more Black 110lb with the Hero Arts Branch Wreath Fancy Die and stamped the bats and pumpkins form the Hero Arts Halloween Trimmings Stamp & Cut in Intense Black and Just Rust. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut out the bats and pumpkins. They are adhered to the wreath with Dot Runner Adhesive and then the wreath is adhered to the card with Black 3D Foam Squares. The halloween is also from the Halloween Trimmings Stamp & Cut, I die cut it three times from Black 110lb and used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere them to each other and the card. The rest of the sentiment is heat embossed in Hero Arts White and adhered with more 3D Foam Squares. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Pumpkin and Metallic Copper Sequins and the card is finished! Even though the background is a little busy I still love the way it looks! I hope that you like my card for today! Thanks for spending some of your Saturday with me! Enjoy the start of your weekend! 🙂

  1. Great card. I actually thought that was paper you used for the background and had to go check to see who made it. Cannot believe those leaves are stamps! Both the stamp set and the ink by Hero are on my wish list now. Amazing how they came out.

    1. Thank you so much Michael! I really love those leaves and that Ombre Ink is fantastic! So glad that I got to enable you! Have a fun day! 🙂

    1. Thanks Linda! I do love those Grateful Leaves and that Ombre Ink! They are both fun sets! 🙂

  2. Really Justin? Those leaves are stamped and not DSP? Amazing! I think your decorated wreath is absolutely perfect and one I wouldn’t mind hanging on my door if it were the right size! I have a hard time with Ombre ink pads because I tend to contaminate the colors when I ink up my stamps. I find they don’t get good coverage with just one tap on the ink pad and I can never get them to tap on the exact same spot. Is there a trick to this I should know about like maybe using a stamp position-er or something? Anyway, this is a fab card and I love the fall colors. Did you use your mini Misti when you stamped the leaves and the veins?

So glad to hear you have electricity AND computers back at the store. Impossible to do business without them I would think. I’m sure you will have a fun day with the crop going on. Lots of people, lots of laughs! When are you doing your Halloween house classes? I hope you have a super Saturday! It’s gorgeous again here but is supposed to rain this afternoon and tonight. We sure need it. I’ll spend the evening watching the race at Charlotte, that is if Charlotte has escaped damage from the hurricane. Love and hugs and wishing you a fabulous day! XXOO 🙂

    1. Yes Grace! Even Michael was impressed! LOL! The wreath would definitely need to be bigger for a door! When you use the Ombre Ink you need to tap the stamp back and forth slightly between the colors to get them to blend. The colors do get a little mixed but then they blend even better! I didn’t use the MISTI, I just eyeballed the veins!
Yes, it’s hard to do anything without the internet there days! The crop is always a lot of fun! The House class is sort of a walk in. I didn’t promote it enough, need to get better at planning ahead! The morning started out nice but it has been raining since about 2:00pm yesterday. Hope that you got to watch your race and that you enjoyed your day! Love and hugs back to you! XOXO 🙂

    1. Thank you Nancy! Yes, it’s very hard to get anything done without the internet! Hope you are enjoying your weekend! 🙂

  3. Nope! Not too busy at all. Love this creation. Of course I say that about every post. weekend crop, right up my alley, too bad i live a few miles away. My daughter and I are going to a 6 hour crop tomorrow, i’m excited to spend time with my daughter and hopefully get some photos done.

Just came home from an awesome brunch with some old friends. My friend John is an amzing cook, hated to leave. LOL some quick tidying up and then playtime, hubby is up North, i so love the quiet. and of course I need to pray for the Chicago Cubs, this is making me just as nervous as the Blackhawks.

    1. Thanks Linda! I’m glad that you do still say that about every post, especially after all of this time! It would be great if you lived a little closer! I’m sure that you will have a great time at your crop with your daughter!
