Mojo Monday 472

It was absolutely gorgeous here yesterday morning! I even got to ride to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store with the top down in the car! YAY! Around 5:00PM the heavens opened and it poured! Like flood the streets in minutes poured! I did enjoy the day though! Angie was at the store when I got there and Taylor arrived just before 10:00AM. We had a nice day, I had a very productive day, I made four cards! I love to get ahead! I also finished Inferno, what a great book, just like all of his others! I’m looking for other books similar to it so if any of you have any suggestions please share! After work I drove home in the torrential downpour and had dinner with my Parent’s. Then I came to my house and straightened up a bit before running to BJ’s, I was almost out of coffee! The rest of my evening was spent relaxing, I try to make Sunday evenings as calm and peaceful as I can. Today I want to get my Newsletter out and hopefully my Hero order will arrive! Fingers crossed! 😀

Why… I do believe that it’s Monday and you know what that means! Time for a new Mojo Monday sketch…

I love the little Kelly’s Sets by Hero and I used two different ones on today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and for my background I used a piece of Shale. The large partial circle on the left is cut from a piece of Bo Bunny Soiree 12×12 Paper with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies and is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. I die cut a piece of Silver Glitter Paper also with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies and cut a piece of Fun Foam with a smaller one. A little E-Z Runner adheres the Fun Foam to the circle and then to the card. Next up is a flagged strip of Slate adhered to the lower half of the card across the circles. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Kelly’s Warm & Cozy Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black and also cut out with the Infinity Circles. More Fun Foam and E-Z Runner adhere it to the card. The little snowflake is from the Hero Arts Kelly’s S’mitten Stamp & Cut Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto a piece of Battleship Gray and cut out with the Coordinating Die. Some 3D Foam Squares hold it in place. Of course there had to be sequins! Some Pretty Pink Posh Platinum, Silver and Marshmallow to be precise! A pretty simple card that gets amped up by the heat embossing and the glitter paper! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Take a minute to visit the BLOG and check out the other Design Team member’s cards and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for beginning your week with me! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

  1. Good Morning Justin:

I just am in love with those little houses from Hero! I really need to check out that set. I’m finally getting close to catching up from my trip so it’s nice to sit at the computer in “relaxed” mode versus “catch up” mode. This way I get to scrutinize all the parts of a card and truly enjoy the artistic touches on them. Needless to say, I think this particular card is especially outstanding. I like that you actually stuck to the sketch. It’s nice when a sketch is singularly interpreted by each individual paper artist but it’s even nicer when each individuals style is added to the already designed sketch. Anyway – I love you card today.

Glad you had a good Sunday. Our weather yesterday was cloudy and gloomy so it was a great shot in the happiness balloon when my driver won the race. Next to Manhattan, any race track is where I love to be. My kids think it’s crazy for an old lady to so hung up on racing but they also enjoy that I get so excited about something. LOL Wishing you a Marvelous Monday and Happy Halloween! If I were trick or treating at the SIP store what would you be giving me? LOL Luv ya, XXOO 🙂

    1. Hello Grace!
Yes, me too! They are great little sets! Ahh… that didn’t take you long at all to get all caught up! I love the Mojo Sketches! They are always so good! I’ve said it before but I’m very lucky to be on such an awesome Design Team! Thank you!
Oh wow! That’s really nice that your driver won! Yay! I think that it’s great that you enjoy the racing so much! I had a fun day and got to see my little Daniel! I would have given you some of the new Hero Ink pads that I got in yesterday! Love you too! XOXO 🙂
