Paper Craft Crew 216

I had an extra fun day yesterday! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was busy with Renee’s Home Decor projects being made. I got see my friend Michelle who stopped in to get a few things. Taylor also came up and had lunch with me, it’s nice to see her awake! LOL! I got a call from my friend Sue telling me that she had an extra ticket for the Carrie Underwood Concert at Madison Square Garden and did I want to go?! Of course I did. I left the Store at 3:30 and stopped by my Parent’s and guess who was there? My little buddy Daniel! I played with him for a bit. We palyed solitaire on hiPad and he made a new game where as soon as he found the Aces the game was finished and he started a new one! We finished with that and I gave hime lots of love and headed over to meet Sue. We got the train into Manhattan, we met her daughter Sharon on the train, and had a slice of Penn Station Pizza before heading up to get to our seats. Easton Corbin opened and I like him! Carrie Underwood was fantastic! She puts on a great show! The stage was in the round so you get to see all of the show! Here are a few pictures…

By the time I got home it was 12:30! I be one tired person today! LOL! 😀

Today I have my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

pcccs216-dt-sketch-10-25-2016

The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Down the left side is a piece of Echo Park This & That 12×12 Paper. My background is a piece of Solar White 80lb and I stamped the snow flurry from the Hero Arts Vintage Wishes Stamp & Die Combo in Soft Granite and the snowflakes in Charcoal. Down the left side is a piece of American Crafts Black Glitter Card Stock and the greeting is stamped in Hero Arts Intense Black. I then used E-Z Runner and Fun Foam to adhere the panel to the card base. The circle is cut from a piece of Silver Glitter Paper with the Lawn Fawn Dotted Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts and adhered to a piece of Solar White 110lb to make it a little more sturdy. I adhered the circle to the card with more E-Z Runner. My two trees and snowman are from the same set with the snowman stamped in Intense Black and the trees in Forever Green. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and then adhered them to the circle with 3D Foam Squares. A little sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins finishes off the card! I love that Winter Scene Stamp Set, so many fun images and for me to use only one set it must a good one! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for coming by to see me today! Have a wild Wednesday! 🙂

  1. Cute! I love the strip of newsprint on the left and all the white space. You CAS cards are my favorites 🙂

  2. Wow! What a great day you had! Unexpected concert tickets are the best! Reminds me of the time I surprised my daughter (and myself!) with tickets to see Maroon V at the Garden. She had texted me from school to say that they were playing. Then she texted me a picture of Adam Levine and said…Just to remind you how hot he is; you know you want to be there. After a little more banter, I was on stub-hub buying the ticket! It was the best day and, of course, I took screen shots of the entire conversation so that I could scrap it! Anyway, so glad you had fun!

Now, for your card. Remember what I said about you brewing some Magic Mojo in that new Keurig? Well, this is what I mean! This card is fantastic! Love all of the elements you used! And, that is the cutest snowman!

    1. Yes! It was a very unexpected and amazing surprise! I have seen Carrie before, she puts on a great show! I have seen Maroon V and love them too! That sounds like you had a very good time! LOL! Good for your daughter, she is a very smart lady!
Glad that you like today’s card too! It must be a good set if it’s the only one that I used! LOL! Thanks!! Enjoy your day! 🙂

  3. Justin,
Lucky you, getting to go to a Carrie Underwood concert. Glad you had fun.
Great card! I always like newsprint on a card and that snowman is so cute! Snowflakes and sequins… gotta love it.

    1. Hi Gerri!
Thank you! The concert was great!
SO happy that you like the card! I love newsprint and really need to find a new background stamp! Hope that you had a great day! 🙂

  4. Good Morning Justin:

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this card. Just the perfect amount of white space and the Hero Arts stamps are getting to be my favorites! The bit of green on the trees adds just enough color to actually accentuate the snowman. I love it!

So good to be back and I think, or at least it feels like, it may take me until Thanksgiving to catch up. I don’t get it!
The hubs comes back from a trip, empties his suitcase and he’s done. I come back to two weeks of laundry, two weeks of mail and two weeks of email just to start with. So much to do and the days are just flying by. I will say that I am jealous you got to see Carrie Underwood. I just love her and I hope you enjoyed the show enough for both of us.

It’s been a long time since we have seen a Daniel photo. Take care of that soon please. We miss the little imp. LOL
You have yourself a Wonderful Wednesday my friend. Love and hugs from the north country. XXOO

    1. Hello Grace!
Thanks so much! I agree, Hero is definitely one of my all time favorites! They have so many great sets and I love their inks!
It’s so good to have you back! Everything will be waiting there for you, no need to rush! LOL!
Carrie was great! This is the third time I’ve seen her! Excellent show!
Yup, I need to take a Daniel selfie the next time I see him! I hope that you had a good day, and you’ll get caught up eventually! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂

  5. You, sir, are living the dream! This card is a knockout! Great sketch, great colors, great to case–which I shall do!

    1. Thanks Linda! She was great!
Glad that you like the card! I love all of the elements in the set! 🙂

  6. Hi Justin, I love the lil’ snowman scene. I also like the strip on the right. I have a background stamp like that and think it will be great just like a stripe.
