Silver Snow Holidays

It was chilly and rainy here for most of the day yesterday. I was glad to be at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, Renee had her no-frills crop! I had a little mini Card Class with Elyse, Nancy and Barbara and that was a lot of fun! AΒ few orders had to be entered into the system since the register was down for most of the day yesterday. After work I had some Chinese food for dinner with my Parents. When I got home I made the mistake of turning on the TV and got sucked into Gods of Egypt. It was actually a pretty good movie! Today I want to get my newsletter done and then I need to clean up the house a bit when I get home! Fun Sunday stuff!

I had started working on a collage card at some point last night and then decided that I didn’t like it! So I made this one instead! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb and I covered the front in a piece of Lawn Fawn Bluejay that I cut out with the largest Stitched Rectangles Stackables Lawn Cuts. The Snowflakes are cut from Galvanized Curious Metallic using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflakes Lawn Cuts. I adhered them from upper left to lower Right with Multi-Matte Medium. A circle is cut out from some 48lb Vellum with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Stackables. I heat embossed the greeting from the Lawn Fawn Love You a Latte Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder. The coffee cup is from the same set and I used Copics to color it in and the Coordinating Dies to cut it out. It’s adhered to the card with Foam Tape. A large snowflake is adhered to the back of the Vellum and then the circle is adhered to the card with more Foam Tape. For a healthy dose of Sparkle I added Little Thing by Lucy Nautical Sparkle Sequin Mix and a few Rhinestones. You know how I love a non-traditional Holiday card and this one definitely fits the bill! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you for stopping by and I wish you all a very nice Sunday! πŸ™‚

  1. Justin,
Great card!! Love the metallic and the vellum and the small coffee mug and of course the sequins. Very unique Holiday Card!
Stay warm! It is very cold here in Little Egg Harbor. It went from 80 degrees to 45 degrees. brrrr

    1. Hey Gerri!
Thank you! I do love blues so much for the Holidays! We had the same temperature drop here too! I want the warm back! Enjoy your day! πŸ™‚

  2. Absolutely love the metallics and vellum! Your sparkles are so different and beautiful… I like the way the sentiment looks like steam coming out of the cup. Yes, the diagonal placement makes the layout.
Cool weather here — 40’s overnight, high in the 60’s. I put on the heat and a sweatshirt and a second blanket! Like you, I am not ready for the cold! Spring and autumn are best. Enjoy your Sunday! Nancy B

    1. Thank you Nancy! I just got some Little Things by Lucy Sequins and they are pretty cool! So glad that you like the card!
We have the same weather here, I’m over it! LOL! I have put the heated blanket back on the bed! Hope you enjoyed the rest of your weekend! πŸ™‚

  4. This is so cool, love the snowflakes, especialy how you angled them. Everytime i see your speciality paper I’m kicking myself, the Paper Cut was at the scrapbook expo, I have bought from them previously. They mostly just had card fronts or speciality cuts so i walked pat them. Now I wish I went in. i need to place on online order, i just love seeing and feeling the papers.

another BEAUTIFUL day here, 75 and sunny. And our Cubs clinched the division title. 108 years in the making….LOL

    1. Thank you Linda! I will only got to a show if they are there! Love their Card Stock! I don’t usually order on-line because the shipping on paper is pretty high!
It’s very cold here today, I want the Summer back! Can you send the warm weather now please! LOL! Glad that your Cubs won! πŸ™‚

  5. LOL, I realy need to read your previous post first. My Halloween card never got made, but my Thanksgiving table decorations did and my cauldrons. super easy and cute, I found short, flat round mason jars which really look like a short cauldron. I sprayed them with black matt, then sanded the paint to make the finish rough like an old stoneware pot then resprayed. The outer lids were sprayed with a glow in the dark geen, (my potion) I then used multiple green stickles to make bubbling potion on the lid rims. added spiders, and a few webs with my glue gun. filled the cauldrons with shredded green/purple paper and of course sequins. . My BFF loved hers, they came out really cute and a nice way to use up olds stickles which i never use anymore.

    Take care…..
