SIP Challenge 71 – Colors!

Made it though another Monday! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was fun as always! Renee worked on her home decor projects and Jean stopped by for a visit. I managed to make a card and get the Concord & 9th entered in. After work I came home and relaxed for a bit before going out to dinner with a friend to Friday’s. On the way home I stopped at Target to pick up a few things and then watched a little TV before bed. Today Renee has her Home Decor Class and I have to get started on a bunch of projects for my upcoming classes. Always something to make! 😀

Tuesday and it’s time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have some colors…

My card base today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used another piece to stamp my greeting and flower from the Concord & 9th Happy Words Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flower is stamped in Rust and the greeting in Mint Julep and Pumpkin Pie. I used the Concord & 9th Happy Card Frame Dies to cut out the flower from Gold Mirror Card and adhered it to the panel with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Metallic Copper and Fresh Mint Sequins and the card is done! I love those Happy Card Frame Dies and the way that the die cut fits over the flower perfectly! A super simple card thanks to a cool stamp and die set! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team Card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! We can’t wait to see what you come up with! Thank you very much for coming by! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

  1. Good Morning Justin:

I so, so, so missed seeing your blog every day! I absolutely fell in love with your card for today the moment I saw it! The gold mirror card stock absolutely makes this card outstanding. I’m not sure I could have been successful with this color combo but you certainly brought it together and pushed the beautiful button with the gold. WOW!

When I first read your post I thought “hum, what could be so bad about Monday’s at the SIP store?” Then you said it was a fun day so I breathed easier. Heck, I don’t want you to not go to the store on Mondays – then it would sound like your old job. You were just “funnin” me right? LOL I have a lot of catching up do to after 10 days away so it will probably take me a week to do it. Meanwhile you have a Totally Terrific Tuesday my friend. I missed you. Love & Hugs, XXOO

    1. Hello Grace!
Welcome Back!! I missed you too! It was a tough color combo, I’ll admit but the stamp and dies made it nice and easy! Thank you!
LOL! The SIP Store is good everyday! Monday in general are just not my favorite and never will be! I’m so happy that you are back!! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂

  2. I love this card, Justin, with the beautiful colors and, of course, the gold mirror card and sequins. The challenge colors would have been a stopper for me, but your creative brain just keeps working all the time. The greeting is inspiring. Of course, when you’re retired as I am, it is much easier to do what makes me happy than when I worked full time. You are lucky to enjoy your job most of the time. No job is perfect all the time. This is a crazy busy week for me and I may miss some of your posts, but I’ll catch up. It was good to see Grace’s post today because I always enjoy what she has to say. She seems like a very fun person with a lot of balls in the air. Have a great week, my friend. Take care.

    1. Thank you so much HJ! I decided that simple was the best way to go with these colors! I love the greeting and it should be true for everyone no matter what that is! I do love what I do and no, it’s not perfect all the time but it’s better that anything else I have ever done! Grace is awesome! I hope that all goes well with your busy week! Hugs to you! 🙂

  3. WOW! This is awesome! I realy love the flower, the gold and copper brings everything to life.

I wish I could go out after I get home. If I dont do it immediately after work, its not going to happen, especially no that its dark at 620pm, depressing

    1. Thanks Linda! I love that Happy Card Die Set and can’t wait to see what else they come out with for it!
I hate that it gets dark so early! One more reason to not like the Winter! 🙂

  4. So what exactly have you been putting in the Keurig–a fresh cup of Mojo every day? Seriously, you have been on fire, with one card better than the last! I’m headed into a really busy work week so if I don’t have time to comment, know that I am still enjoying what i see on Instagram!

    1. Thanks so much Linda! I don’t know what I have been doing but I’m so glad that you are enjoying all of the cards! I hope that you busy week goes well! See you on IG! 🙂
