Hi there! I hope that your weekend is off to a good start! I enjoyed day two of my Card Class at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Danielle was in the night class and we ended up talking at the store until midnight! We certainly had a lot of catching up to do! Today Renee has a no-frills crop, I’ll get to spend some time with the ladies! Always a good way to start off the weekend!

Today I’m participating in a blog hop for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags hosted by Tracey McNeeley! I’m so happy to be a part of this along with the rest of the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Design Team! You can find out more about the hop by clicking HERE! I understand that there are some giveaways so be sure to check it out!

For those of you that are regulars here on the blog you know that I’m a big fan of non-traditional Holidays! My tag today certainly fits within those parameters! I used the Concord & 9th Bags and Tags Dies to cut out a piece of Crisp Green and a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb Card Stock. From the piece of White I then die cut the speech bubble. My trees are and greeting are from the Concord & 9th O Christmas Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the trees and snowflakes in Lawn Fawn Merman, Plastic Flamingo and Sugarplum Ink onto the the white pieces and heat embossed the sentiment in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto the Crisp Green Part. The white pieces are then adhered to the Crisp Green with 3D Foam Squares, my hole reinforcement is adhered with Multi-Matte Medium and a piece of American Crafts Bright Pink Primio Twine is tied through the top. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Lime Sorbet and Watermelon Sequins to finish it off! Like I said, non-traditional but bright and fun! I hope that you enjoyed my tag! Don’t forget to head over to the 25 Days of Christmas Tags and see the rest of the Team’s tags! Concord & 9th is giving away a $25 Gift Certificate so be sure and leave a comment! Thanks for sharing some of your Saturday with me! Have a simply amazing day! 🙂

  1. WOW! I really like this tag Justin. I love the shape – a non traditional tag shape and that speech bubble rocks! And I have to say that those trees in those colors remind me of when I lived in the city and all the funky stores would have little Christmas trees in these funky colors at the holidays. Great job!

    1. Thank you very much Michael!! I thought of the funky windows in Manhattan when I was making this!! Too bad you are’t here to wander around the city with! That would be fun! 🙂

  2. The whole tag pops. (Even if you wrapped present in brown paper bag, this tag would change it from drab to fab?)

  3. Hi Justin:

I’m a traditionalist but I do love this tag. I had a friend that got divorced shortly before Christmas one year. She had two daughters ages 11 and 9. In order to make that first Christmas as good as she could for her girls she actually got a huge, bright pink, artificial tree and every decoration on it was pink and “girly” in one way or another including the lights. Even I fell in love with it. So, my point is, that it doesn’t matter what colors you use at Christmas – only that you allow the holiday to make you feel joyful. AND, your tag does just that. Love, hugs and wishes for a Sensational Saturday my friend. XXOO 🙂

    1. Hello Grace,
That’s a very nice story and just goes to show that Christmas can be any color that you want! I’m glad that you like the tag and I hope that you enjoyed your day! I had a nice time at the Crop! Have a super day today, extremely windy here today! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂

  4. Cute! Love the non-traditional look, from the length, the speech bubble and colors. Awesome. I really liked your card from yesterday also. Tea time is right up my alley, as long as its iced tea.
Had an awesome time scrapboking yesterday and made a new friend. Its so cool how crafty folks can build new relationships because we already have something common. And I got alot done, even better.

Winter is here! Dropped from 68 yesterday to 36 when I left the crop, BURR!!!! And the wind is still horrible, (home its blowing east) LOL. We even had a few flakes this morning and grass and roofs were covered. YUCK!

I need to get off this computer. 30 folks coming over for Thanksgiving. I better get moving

    1. Thanks so much Linda! I liked that it was longer and I thought the speech bubble was fun! I too am an iced tea fan, I got one of those Taykea cold brewers, love it! I love that crafty peeps are so nice and yes, it does make making friends fun and easy!
Oh, it’s super windy here today and way colder that I enjoy! It is definitely too early for snow!! You are going to have a full house to Thanksgiving! I’ll bet it will be amazing!! 🙂

  5. this would be a great bookmark.
A memory of the holidays and the
    person who made it.
    Love the colors.
    thanks for sharing.

  6. What a cute tag, Justin! I’m with Grace on usually going with traditional colors, but I love this tag with its non-traditional bright cheery colors. Of course, the sequins are a special extra!! Have a Super Sunday!

    1. Thank you HJ! I love non-traditional colors! If you think about it the ornaments on the tree are all colors! Hope that you have a lovely day! 🙂

  7. Lovely tag – I really like the color combination you used and those brush looking trees are so cute (they remind me of Bob Ross, may he rest in peace, and his ‘happy little trees’, oh, he was such a great man, served his country, shared his talent with the world, cares about critters, sorry for the rambling). You framed your pretty tags stunningly too with the perfect props! Nice work!

    1. Thank you so much! I like your tangent! I used to watch Bob Ross all the time and his happy little trees! Glad that you liked my tag and that it brought back a nice memory! 🙂
