Fab Friday 101

So, did any of you venture out for some Black Friday deals?! I got a few things from Amazon but other than that I was good! I had a super relaxing day yesterday! I didn’t get out of bed until 10:00AM! I never do that! And I watched two movies! I’m still stuffed from yesterday! Taylor and I had pizza and port wine cheddar and crackers! LOL! I never use my stove because it’s gas and scares me! But we made it! LOL! Today I have my Black Friday sales at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Hoping to be really busy! πŸ˜€

If you did got out and shop or eat too much sit back and relax and enjoy the new Fab Friday sketch…

One of the new things that I got on Wednesday was an awesome paper pad and I used it on today’s card! The base is Ivory 100lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Kraft. I used three pieces of paper from the TrimCraft Wild at Heart 6×6 Paper Pad. One for the top part of the background, one for the strip and another for the circle which is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts. I also used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Frames Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Pluto Stardream Metallic for a frame around the circle. That circle is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My deer head is cut from a piece of Ionized Metallic and two pieces of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I adhered them to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. To the back of it I adhered some branches that I cut out from more Kraft with the Lea-bilities Holly Leaves & Pine Branches Dies. To hold all of that to the circle I used a 3D Foam Square. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black onto more Kraft and adhered with more 3D Foam Squares. So what do you think, can it get more masculine than that?! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Go on over and see the rest of the Team’s cards on the BLOG and let’s see your card in the gallery! Thank you for coming but today! Have a fabulous Friday! πŸ™‚

  1. What a fabulous card for a hunter Justin. The really strange thing is that yesterday a friend of ours was excitedly telling us that he went hunting and got a 10 point buck. He was practically jumping up and down and this would have been a perfect congratulatory card for him. I realize that a lot of folks don’t agree with hunting but here, where jobs are few and far between and pay scales are low, it is how many people feed their families throughout the year. So anyway, I love this card and find it kind of funny how often you share a card that would be absolutely perfect for someone I know. Could we be on the same wavelength? LOL

So glad to hear that you have a restful day yesterday. Ours was busy and fun and yes, we too are still stuffed from all the wonderful food and amazing desserts! Love and hugs to you my friend. XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks so much Grace! I really like now nice and masculine it is and I love that Paper! I’m not a fan of hunting but I do understand. We very well might be on the same wavelength!
I did really enjoy my day yesterday, I should have been doing some things but I just wanted to be! Glad that you had a nice day! Love and hugs to you too! XOXO πŸ™‚

  2. Awesome card Justin!! Love that deer head and the pine branches. The dsp is great too. Perfect masculine card!!!

  3. Great (masculine) card! Here, we have a terrible deer overpopulation problem and car accidents are prolific. One of my former students and a dear teacher friend were killed in separate accidents with deer. Right now, we have a bow and arrow hunter trying his best in our upper acreage. So far, two down, two bazillion to go! At least he uses what he gets for food for his family.
I am glad you had a peaceful day. I am making our own dinner tomorrow. ( Yesterday was the command attendance at my BIL’s that we never enjoy — it’s all my SIL’s family! The bread “dressing” is always delicious!)
Looking forward to our dinner for five at my house…
    Love you,
    Nancy B

    1. Thank you Nancy! I understand the issues with deer but I still don’t like hunting. We moved into their land not the other way around. I guess that population control is a good thing for them and for us.
I did have a very nice low key day, need them more often! I skipped my Sister-in-laws, I like them all but I just needed a day to myself. Hope that you enjoyed your dinner! Love you too! XO πŸ™‚

  4. Really nice card Justin. I like the craft paper. I hope your sales were spectacular today.

  5. This is a beautiful masculine card!

I hosted a successful Thanksgiving diner for 30+ folks. Great time had by all, most of company left around 9pm, kids friends stayed until wee hours. I had to work today so I was dragging. No Black Friday shopping for me! I honestly feel you get great deals before and after. I’m more of an online shopper anyway. I did buy Prisma colored poencils n Amazon, I’ve been watching thisset for awhilke but had a hard tme justifying $90.00 plus. got it for 72,00 I’m pretty happy. And of course I hit the Lawn Fawn sale, not to bad.

Hope you were busy today, hope tomorrow is busy also for you

    1. Thanks so much Linda!
It sounds like your Thanksgiving was perfect and just what the day should be like! That’s not fair that you had to work!! I like to shop online too, I basically only shopped at Amazon and did hit up Target last night. I love my Prismacolor Pencils! That is a really good deal! Lawn Fawn’s Valentine Release is really cute! It was pretty busy at the store and I hope that today is even busier too! Enjoy your day my friend! πŸ™‚
