Holly Day Ornaments

What a super busy day I had at the stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday! The ladies were there for the crop and a bunch of them decided that they would make cards. I demoed the MISIT and helped them out with some Altenew and Concord & 9th Stamps. I also snipped dies apart and played with Evelyn’s new Gemini Die Cutting Machine. Renee’s daughter Krista stopped by to make some things for a Bridal Shower that she is a part of next week. I helped her with the cards and Renee helped her with the Bridal Bingo. After work I came home and met my Parents and we went to Applebee’s for dinner. When I got back to the house I watched a little TV and then called it night. Today is day 2 of the crop… more fun ahead! πŸ˜€

For today’sΒ craftiness, I have a relatively simple card that I made using some Hero Arts sets! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the pine branches from the Hero Arts Happy Holly Days Photopolymer Stamp Set in Green Hills and Forever Green directly onto the card front. My ornaments are from the Hero Arts Ornaments Stamp & Die Combo, I stamped them in Hero Arts Intense Black Ink onto some Arches 140lb Watercolor Card. They are colored in with Mermaid Lagoon, Mustard Seed and Wilted Violet Distress Inks and an Aquawash Waterbrush. After they dried I cut them out with the coordinating dies and adhered them to the card with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. Before I adhered my Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Amethyst, Lemon and Sea Breeze Sequins I stamped my greeting in the lower left from the Hero Arts Holiday Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set in more Intense Black and the card is finished! I love the ornaments, especially “watercolored”! I hope that you like my card for today! Thanks for your visit! Have a simple Sunday! πŸ™‚

  2. What a beautiful card, Justin. I love those great ornaments and the realistic boughs, plus the font of the greeting. Have another great day! I hope you enjoyed an extra hour of sleep last night. Take care.

    1. Thank you very much HJ! They are cool sets for sure! I hope that you enjoyed your Sunday and yes, I did enjoy my extra hour! πŸ™‚

  3. Good Morning Justin!

Those are the most realistic pine branches that I have seen to date. Most pine branch stamps are sparse in needles whereas these are so much more realistic. Yet another set to add to my wish list which is growing by leaps and bounds the more I see your cards. I better be good so that Santa give me lots of green stuff to spend. LOL This card really is sensational – the ornaments are spectacular and you did a fabulous job coloring them. Just love it.

You went to Applebee’s? That’s funny as I’ve been thinking about their ribs for days now and will probably go there for dinner with the hubs Monday or Tuesday. There is a single item at each of the chain restaurants that I love and get a hankering for every once in a while. I think I miss being close to restaurants the most of anything living in such a small town. Especially in the winter months when driving is tough and darkness arrives early. I’m glad to hear your Mum got a break from cooking and cleaning up. We all need that once in a while. You have yourself a Super Sunday my friend. Only 3 or 4 races left before I go into withdrawal. LOL Love and hugs to you Justin. XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Hello Grace!
Thanks! I do love that set! LOL! Just remember that I already have the sets! He he! I’m sure that Santa knows that you have been really good! So glad that you like the card!
I did go to Applebee’s! My Parents like it, I prefer Fridays!! They do have good food, I had a delicious burger and fries! We have a ton of chain restaurants, nice to have the variety! I hate that it gets so dark so early, very depressing. Mum was happy to not have too cook, Dad always cleans up! Hope that you had a great day! We need to find something to fill the racing void… I know… card making! LOL! Love and hugs to you! πŸ™‚
