Paper Craft Crew 218

I had a very nice day yesterday! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was a good time! I managed to get two cards made, run some errands and place some much needed orders! I snuck out a little early so that I could get to see Daniel before he went home. We had dinner together, he’s a slow eater, especially when he’s watching his hiPad! We played for a bit and then Andrew came over for a visit. He is helping me with a little project related to the store. Hopefully we will have it finished in a week or two! I’m excited to share with you what we are up to! After Andrew left I went over and met Heather and we stopped by Geroge’s and then picked up a few things at Target. When we got back to her house she made some fried green tomatoes and they were delicious! I had a bunch of things to do when I got home so by the time I made it into bed it was after 12:30. Today is a busy day here on the blog, I have the Paper Craft Crew post which you are reading now and at 11:00 I will have my post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge, so be sure to come back for that one too!

Speaking of the Paper Craft Crew we have a fun Tic-Tac-Toe board for you this week…

To start off today’s card I took a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add Soft Purple and Tide Pool Ink to it. I then die cut the Hero Arts Jar Frame Cuts from it and stamped the snowflakes from the Hero Arts Wintertime Fun Photopolymer Stamp Set in more Tide Pool. Across the bottom is a piece of Kaiser Craft Mademoiselle 12×12 Paper with the bottom of the jar cut from it. I adhered it to the panel and then adhered a piece of Acetate to the back. On the jar that I die cut I stamped the jar in Tide Pool and the images from the Hero Arts Winter Scene Photopolymer Stamp Set. The snow is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, the house is stamped in Soft Brown and the tree in Green Hills. Next up I die cut the Jar from two pieces of Fun Foam and adhered them to each other and the a card base of Solar White 110lb with E-Z Runner and E-Z Runner Micro. I added a piece of American Crafts Powder Glitter Tape down the right side. The stamped jar is then adhered inside the well and some Iridescent Seed Beads and Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins are added before adhering the panel to the card. Last but not least I stamped my greeting in Cup O Joe, it’s from the Hero Arts Holiday Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set. I still love that Winter Scene Set, the jar definitely makes a fun shaker! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! We hope that you will stop by the BLOG and enter your card in the gallery after getting some inspiration from the rest of the Team! Thank you for coming by this morning, I hope to see you back here a little later on for my second post! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

  1. Love the card, Justin! It is even prettier in person! You sure know how to pack a lot into a day! Glad you got to spend some time with Daniel! Can’t wait to hear what the surprise is!

    1. Thank you so much Linda!! It was so good to see you yesterday! I do like to keep busy, sometimes too busy! Love my little buddy, need to see him more! Have a fun day! 🙂

  2. Hi Justin:

I don’t think I even need to tell you how much I love this shaker card! It has every element that delights me. First of all I love cards that have the canning jars as their main object and then to make it a shaker card with a nice little “what I can see when I drive in my driveway” scene makes it really special. Well, substitute a log cabin for the regular house but you get the picture. I’ll be extra nice to you this morning and not use the “S” word but the sequins say it all. LOL

I love surprises so I can’t wait to see what you will have in store for us this afternoon. Meanwhile you have yourself a Wonderful Wednesday my friend. Love and hugs to you from the north country! XXOO 🙂

    1. Hello Grace!
Thank you so much! I too like a canning jar, especially as a shaker! I’ll bet that it does look just like what you see when you pull into your driveway!
I do like when I have an extra post of you! Hope you had a great day! Love and hugs from NY! XOXO 🙂

  3. LOL! When I aw that board I knew you would make a shaker. Really cute! Love the fact that the jar is sitting on a table.

Fried green tomatoes? Not brave enough to have ever tried them. Take care

    1. LOL! You know me so well Linda! Yes, the jar is sitting on a table! Yay!
The fried green tomatoes were really really good! You should give them a try! 🙂

  4. Love this really cute card, Justin. It makes me smile being a shaker with the little scene in the jar. I love the font of the greeting, too. Life seems to get busier and busier or I could just be that I’m slower than I think. Oh, heavens, no, that can’t be it!! lol. Glad your day was productive yesterday. Can’t wait to hear the news on your new store related project. Take care.

    1. Thank you HJ! I do love Hero’s greetings sets! Yes, life does get busier, but I do enjoy having so much to do, make me feel alive! Hoping to get the store related project finished quickly! 🙂
