SIP Challenge 72

Happy day after Halloween! Have you recovered from your candy comas yet?! It was chilly here yesterday but sunny and the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store closed early yesterday so that Renee and I could go and spend a little quality time with our families! I did get my Hero Arts order and got that checked in and also got my new Kindle! I started reading the The Atlantis Gene, it was a free read on Amazon Prime! It’s pretty good so far! After I left the Store I headed home and met up with my Parents and we drove out to my Brother’s house. Daniel was Marshall from Paw Patrol and Tristan was an elephant! We Trick-or-Treated for a while and then had dinner. Here are some pics along with a selfie of Daniel and I that he said I should take!

And yes, my brother made the firetruck! He’s pretty talented too! We had so much fun with them! Today I need to get some things accomplished at the Store and also finish up some projects. I know, I’m always finishing up projects! LOL! 😀

Let’s see… its Tuesday! Time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

My card for today starts off with a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added a piece of paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Winter Petite Paper Pad down the middle to the left a little. My star is cut from American Crafts Glitter Card Stock with the Lawn Fawn Puffy Stars Lawn Cuts, I punched a hole in the bottom with my Crop-A-Dile. The greeting is from the Lawn Fawn Tiny Tags Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto a piece of Battleship Gray that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Tiny Tags Lawn Cuts. I tied the large star to the small one with Lawn Fawn Silver Single Cord Lawn Trimmings and adhered the large star to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My seal is created using the Lawn Fawn Narwhal & Friends Lawn Cuts. I cut him out of Black, Slate and Battleship Gray and adhered him together with Dot Runner Adhesive. He is then adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I think that this may very well be Daniel’s Christmas Card! Love that little seal, he’s so cute! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards, including this month’s Guest Designer LeAnne! Thank you for coming by today! Have an amazing Tuesday! 🙂

  1. Good Morning Justin, I know this is a card blog, but you and your family are so cute. Daniel is growing up so fast. He is looking like a little boy now, too fast, no more baby. Being the big brother, he has a big job! Ha Ha. The fire truck is amazing! I love the baby’s (begins with a T) blanket. It looks crochet. Did someone make that for her. Just beautiful.
    Have a great Tuesday.
    🙂

    1. Hello Nancy! Thanks!! I’m glad that you like all of the little tangents that I go off on! Yes, Daniel is growing up really fast and he is a very good big brother! My brother did an excellent job with the fire truck! Yes, I think that someone did make Tristan’s blanket! Hope that you have wonderful day too! 🙂

  2. This is fantastic, Justin!! I love that adorable narwhal from LF and you spotlighted him so beautifully. It’d definitely be a great card for your nephew!

The crafty gene sure does run in your family – the firetruck your brother made is just awesome!

Enjoy your new Kindle and the Atlantis Gene. Love Amazon Prime and their fast shipping (and now, new free reads). Check out Overdrive (https://www.overdrive.com) which allows you to “borrow” ebooks/audiobooks and more from your local library. I love it and have been using it for 4+ years since my local library signed up. I love the fact that I can start reading on my Kindle and pick where I left off with the Kindle app on my iPad or iPhone if my Kindle is not immediately handy (or I forgot to throw it in my bag before heading to work) and vice versa.

    1. Thanks you so much Christy! The Narwhal is really fun and does make for a great kids card!
I thought the fire truck was so cool! And pretty clever to put it over the top of the wagon! He is pretty clever!
I had a nook before but Amazon is just easier! I’m loving the Kindle and the book is pretty good so far! I will look into Overdrive!! Thanks! Yes! I think that the sync across everything is so cool too! Have a super day! 🙂

  3. What pictures…. those cute little ones, the fire truck, and of course your card – love the seal! Interesting comments on the Kindle too… do you prefer that over reading on the iPad? Been using the iPad, but thinking of Kindle, and appreciate your “techno-expertise” !

    1. Thanks Carol! I love those little kiddies and my Brother’s Fire Truck was so cool! Glad that you like the card too! I do prefer the Kindle to the iPad, much easier on the eyes and you can see it much better without glare. The battery lasts a lot longer too! 🙂

  4. What a great card today Justin. I love the way you hung a small star to the larger, very glittery (I know you did the glittery just for me! LOL) star! The softness of the plaid DSP really allows the narwhal to jump front and center. Just a terrific card all around.

I have to agree with everyone else that Daniel is growing up too fast. Tristan makes an adorable little elephant and I’m sure she had a great time being pushed around the neighborhood. Unfortunately there are no door to door trick or treaters in our area. The houses are spread too far apart and weather is often a factor. Instead they have what they call Trunk Treats. On the local common people fill the trunks of their cars with candy and treats and the kids come and parade around the common and retrieve the treats from the trunks of peoples cars. Much safer and controlled then what we used to do when we were kids. Heck, I went trick or treating alone from the time I was five and no one thought a thing of it. What a different world we live in today. So Sad. But, thank you for sharing those photos. It’s always fun to see the kids and yes, your brother did a fantastic job on that fire engine for Daniel! Love it.

You have yourself a Terrific Tuesday my friend. Love and hugs as always, XXOO 🙂

    1. Thank you Grace! I did do the glitter just for you! I like the little seal, he’s cute and the die makes him easy to make!
Yes, Daniel is a big boy now. They both had fun and Tristan was quite content in the stroller! Trunk treats sounds like a nice solution to you not getting the Trick-or-Treaters at the houses. It is sad the world that we live in today. I used to go around when I was a kid and didn’t think anything of it. Now as an adult I don’t think I would do it! Glad that you like the pics! My Brother’s Fire Truck was great! He’s pretty clever!
I hope that you enjoyed your day! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂

  5. OK, yes I know we should talk about the Narwahl in the room, but I just came up with a new reality show…
    “The Krafty Kriegers!”
Doesn’t it have a great ring? I think NBC would take it on. I’d be happy to be an assistant if you need one.
    And now about that Narwahl…

    1. LOL! That’s great Anna! It does have a nice ring! If it happens you can definitely be the assistant! That Narwhal is so much fun, a so easy! 🙂

  6. What great pics of you, Daniel, Tristan and, of course, your cute card. Both of the little children are so adorable!! I love the plaid with the silver glimmer paper on your card. I have been AWOL on your blog being busy with the huge senior center flea market sale. The good news is we made $27,000 Thursday – Saturday and we are so thrilled all the money goes to the center. I was exhausted but I’m beginning to get my mojo back now. I hope you are having a great week.

    1. Thanks HJ! I love those kids! They are both so good! I was wondering where you have been! Sounds like you were missing for a good reason! That’s great! Hope you get all rested up! Good to have you back! 🙂
