Now here is this month’s challenge badge…

I finally got my hands on some of the Hero Arts Clear Acetate Note Cards and couldn’t wait to use one and that’s what my card base for today is! I used the Concord & 9th Grateful Leaves Dies to cut out a few from some American Crafts Gold Glitter Card Stock. I cut out three of the small leaves and one of the larger ones. From the larger one I die cut the grateful from the same set and again from a piece of American Crafts Black Glitter Card Stock. I then cut more leaves from Solar White 80lb, three more of the small ones and four more of the large ones. To one of those I added Dot Runner Adhesive and adhered the large gold leaf and then inlaid the Black grateful into it. The leaves are then adhered to the card front with more Dot Runner. On the inside I adhered the small white leaves and large leaf to cover up the adhesive and did the same directly behind the large leaf on the front and back of the back of the card so there was a place to write a greeting. I do love the way that the leaves seem to just float there, gives it a nice whimsical look! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Sparkle & Shine Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the super talented Design Team’s cards! We hope that you will enter yours in the gallery to share with us! Thank you for coming by again today to share my second post for today! Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday! 🙂

  1. Finally I was able to get to this post and I sure am glad as this card is amazing! I didn’t even know they made acetate note cards. I too love the floaty look of the leaves and of course all the glitter paper! Very smart of you to cover the inside with the same images so that the easy runner doesn’t show. I’d like to see one of these acetate cards done with fish – how cool would that be!!!!

Thanks again Justin for always bringing new things to my attention. No wonder I so look forward to your blog every single day. Love and hugs – XO

    1. Sorry that you had trouble getting the post Grace. I couldn’t get it at first either! Thanks GoDaddy! I have had my eye on the Acetate Cards for a while and am glad that I got them! Yes, The card would look cool with the fish! I forgot about him!
I’m very happy that you still do look forward to the blog! Love and hugs to you! 🙂

  2. WOW! I have not made an acetate card in a long time, I loved them. This is gorgeous. Very clever to cover the inside with the same images. Never thought of that…..mine werem ostly stamping and the acetate was the top of the card.

    Love your double posts!

    1. Thank you Linda! I haven’t made one in forever either! I like the way the leaves seem to float!
Hope that you had a wonderful day! 🙂

  3. Simple and beautiful!! Two words to describe this card, Justin. This is the first I’ve heard of acetate cards. You are so clever in putting this one together with a space for a note on the backside to hide the adhesive. Thanks for this second post. Take care. Have a terrific, thirsty Thursday!!

    1. Thank you so much HJ! Hero has had the Acetate Cards for a while, but they were out of stock for a long time! Glad that you enjoyed both cards! Hope that you had a wonderful day! 🙂
