It was a little overcast here yesterday in the morning but started to clear up later in the day. My Parents stopped by the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store to visit yesterday and I finally got my Newsletter out! Yay! Today the Store is open from 10:00am until 2:00pm and we are closed tomorrow. I’m looking forward to a few days off! After work I had dinner with my Parents and Taylor and then her and I headed to the movies to Star Wars – Rogue One. It was an awesome movie! I liked it better than The Force Awakens! By the time I got home it was 10:30, I sat down and made four cards for today’s post! It’s never too late to craft! Plus it’s always good to have extra cards on hand… right?! 😀
The cards that I made are some thank you cards and they were actually pretty quick and easy! I used my Mini MISTI to stamp all of the images which makes creating multiples super fast! The cardinal and branch are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Cardinal Stamp & Die Combo. I used Pale Tomato, Raspberry Jam, Red Royal and Black for the cardinals and Cup O Joe and Pine Hybrid for the branches. The feet and cardinal are cut out using the Coordinating Dies, the feet are adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium and the cardinal with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Thanks Stamp & Cut Set and is stamped in Onyx Black. I used my Uni-ball Signo White Gel Pen to add a little detail to the cardinal’s eye and they are done! I always try to stamp multiples when I’m using Color Layering Stamps and I keep them on my desk so that I can make really quick cards when I need to and there is no better tool for doing that than the MISTI!
