Candles & Flowers Congrats

I hope that you all enjoyed your Christmas day celebrations! We had a lovely day! The star of the show was little Daniel! There really is nothing like Christmas through the eyes of a child! Erika told him that Christmas is about family and he said no, it’s about presents! LOL! Taylor and I played with him and all of his new toys, my favorite was the Lego! I used to love it as a child and still do! After all of the festivities I came home and watched The Force Awakens. Later on I ran over to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store to get an order together to go out tomorrow. Today I’ll be in Manhattan all day! I have some friends to see and a little wandering around to do! 🙂

I felt like doing some coloring last night so I pulled out my Altenew Celebrations Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped the flowers and candles with Altenew Jet Black Crisp Ink onto a piece of Kraft, masking the flowers, and colored them in with my Prismacolor Pencils. I stamped the Congratulations from the set just above the grouping and then all that was left to do was to adhered the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I do love a nice simple card and the sketch look of the stamp set is just great for coloring! I hope that you like my simple card for today! Thank you for coming by and catching up with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

  1. I LOVE that card – clean and simple, but a standout. There’s something about that pencil coloring on kraft that I love. So glad you had a wonderful Christmas. I have to agree seeing it through a child’s eyes is special.

    1. Thanks so much Carol! I too love the colored pencil as on Kraft, they look so much nicer than on white. Hope that you had a fun Christmas too! 🙂

  2. Nothing can bring the excitement of Christmas like having little children around. It’s always great to be with family no matter the age, but the young ones really add a special dimension. Glad you had a great day. We did as well. Love this card, Justin, using the Primacolor pencils. It’s a wonderful scene. Have a fun day in the City, my friend. Should be lots of shoppers there today for the after-Christmas sales.
