Freshly Made Sketches 268

It felt good to be back at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday! I had a few orders to get out and Renee, Angie and I all worked on projects. I left the Store a little early to come home and give my house a thorough cleaning. Need to get everything spruced up for the New Year! I had a little dinner with a friend and then watched some TV and went through some pictures on the Apple TV. Today I have a ton of projects to work on, I’ll be a busy boy! 🙂

My card that I have to share with you today is for the final Freshly Made Sketches of 2016…

The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock cut to 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ and folded in half. I covered the front with a piece of Slate Gray and then added a panel of Battleship Gray. I stamped my images from the Hero Arts December My Monthly Hero Kit in Memento Tuxedo Black on Kraft and colored them in with my Prismacolor Pencils. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. My main panel is Wildflower Honey, I arranged the images onto it and then stamped the cork popping and little bursts in Versa-Mark. They are heat embossed in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder, the images are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium and the panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is also from the December Kit and is cut from a piece of Silver Glitter Card Stock and two pieces of Black. I adhered them to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray and then to the card with more Multi-Matte Medium. Some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen and Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen on the champagne bottle and hat along with just a few Pretty Pink Posh Silver and Gold Sequins and the card is finished! I really do love that Hero Kit and the fun gray and yellow combo! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for coming by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

  1. I love this card. I know it says party, but I sure could use two or three Happy New Year cards, as I received a few Christmas cards from people I didn’t send to. I really hate that.

    1. Thank you Nancy! It would make a great New Year’s card! I need to get better about sending out cards, I make enough! LOL! 🙂

  2. Justin, your card is so pretty. The Wildflower Honey yellow is so soft but perfect for this card. Your coloring is great as always. I have the same problem, Nancy. Some people just surprise me in a good way. I haven’t seen too many “Happy New Years” cards posted. Both of you have a great day.

    1. Thank you so much HJ! I do really enjoy using the pencils, makes a nice change from Copics! I think that we should make New Year’s card the new “thing”! You have a fantastic day! 🙂

  3. Party!! I like the elegance of the gray with the pop of bright party colors. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
