Layered Cardinal Thanks

It was a little overcast here yesterday in the morning but started to clear up later in the day. My Parents stopped by the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store to visit yesterday and I finally got my Newsletter out! Yay! Today the Store is open from 10:00am until 2:00pm and we are closed tomorrow. I’m looking forward to a few days off! After work I had dinner with my Parents and Taylor and then her and I headed to the movies to Star Wars – Rogue One. It was an awesome movie! I liked it better than The Force Awakens! By the time I got home it was 10:30, I sat down and made four cards for today’s post! It’s never too late to craft! Plus it’s always good to have extra cards on hand… right?! ๐Ÿ˜€

The cards that I made are some thank you cards and they were actually pretty quick and easy! I used my Mini MISTI to stamp all of the images which makes creating multiples super fast! The cardinal and branch are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Cardinal Stamp & Die Combo. I used Pale Tomato, Raspberry Jam, Red Royal and Black for the cardinals and Cup O Joe and Pine Hybrid for the branches. The feet and cardinal are cut out using the Coordinating Dies, the feet are adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium and the cardinal with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Thanks Stamp & Cut Set and is stamped in Onyx Black. I used my Uni-ball Signo White Gel Pen to add a little detail to the cardinal’s eye and they are done! I always try to stamp multiples when I’m using Color Layering Stamps and I keep them on my desk so that I can make really quick cards when I need to and there is no better tool for doing that than the MISTI! I hope that you enjoyed my Thank You cards for today! A big thank you for your visit! Have a fantastic Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Hi Justin!
I love cardinals and these are beautiful!!! Who wouldn’t love to get a thank you card like this?

  2. That’s a great clean and simple card! Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful Christmas!

  3. Hi Justin:

The perfect card for after Christmas thank yous! Would you mind if I case it when I get back from our trip? I promise I will give you credit for the design. I love cards with white space but if I make one it always looks bare to me. Yours couldn’t be any more perfect then it already is. Thanks for sharing it.

I have Cardinals in just about every room in the house. They are my favorite bird but evidently I am not their favorite. Despite having all kinds of bird feeders and suet holders they avoid my property and I don’t know why. I see them up the road and in a lot of areas around here but not my yard. Oh well. Maybe I need to plant some berry bushes or something.

Busy day today with housework, laundry and then getting organized for the trip. I will miss my stamping stuff while I’m away so I’ll have to settle for a good book. I still have books I received for Christmas two years ago that I haven’t read. You have yourself a Fantastic Friday my friend. Love and hugs, XOO ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hey Grace!
Thanks! I do love that cardinal! CASE away my friend!
That’s odd that they aren’t outside in your yard. We get the occasional one in our yard, not that often. We’ll have to Google it and find out how to get them to come to your yard!
I really missed my crafty things while I was in London last year! Two weeks was too long to be away from them! Hope you get to read some of your books! Have a fun and safe trip! Love and hugs to you! XOXO ๐Ÿ™‚
