Mojo Monday 477

Another nice weekend spent with some really nice people, who could ask for anything more?! The Stamp, Ink, Paper store is always so much fun when there are loads of people hanging to and being creative! People working on scrapbook pages and cards. I got to help Evelyn with her Cricut, something new for me! If it plugs in I get it! LOL! I also got my inventory completed, a very productive day! After work I had dinner with my Parents and Taylor and then came home and relaxed. I try to do that on Sunday nights. Today I have a lot more system stuff to do at the store and hopefully everything will be finished by Wednesday! Wish me luck! πŸ˜€

It’s Monday and time for the last Mojo Monday challenge of 2016! We will be taking a little break until January so here is the sketch…

My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, I covered the front with a piece of Herb Garden. For my background I place the Hero Arts Holiday Florals Bold Prints Background into my MISTI and stamped in in Hero Arts Green Hills onto Solar White 80lb and Versa-Mark onto Crisp Green and then heat embossed it in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. I then adhered the two sides, matching up the pattern, onto my card base. Across the lower half is a strip of Gold Mirror Card. My greeting is stamped in Hero Arts Lime to Forever Green Ombre Ink repeatedly onto another piece of Solar White 80lb using my MISTI again. The center one is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. I backed it with some more Herb Garden and it’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. To complete the card I die cut one of the snowflakes from the Hero Arts Paper Layering Snowflakes with Frames from a piece of IceΒ Gold Curious Metallic. It’s adhered to the card with a 3D Foam Square and in the center is a Gold Pretty Pink Posh Sequin! I really do love the way the background came out and the MISTI made it so easy to do! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the last Mojo Monday Sketch of 2016! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and lets see your one in the gallery! Thank you so much for starting another week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! πŸ™‚

  1. I love how you used the same stamp to make the different looks for the background. Very creative!! The beautiful snowflake is stunning! Of course, I love the band of Gold Mirror paper. Since I’ve been so good this year (LOL), I’m hoping Santa is bringing a MISTI for me. Then I’ll need one of your classes to teach me how to use it. Wouldn’t that be nice!! Now I’ll go check out what the team made. Have a great day.

    1. Thanks so much HJ! I love my MISTI and know that you will love yours too! I’m sure that you have been really good and that you will get one for Christmas! It would make me so happy to be the one to get to teach you how to use it! Hope you enjoyed the rest of the cards and that you have a fun Monday! πŸ™‚

  2. Oh my gosh Justin – you got those patterns so perfectly matched that I thought you had used DSP for your background. I’m going to try to remember that technique because I love the look. The card as a whole is pretty spectacular and those dimensional snowflakes are just perfect. I also think changing the ink color going up and down your phrase looks fantastic. What a creative brain you have! This card beats the heck out of a Hallmark card any day of the week.

The forecast says starting at noon time that it will be snowing pretty good in our area so I’m planning on turning on the Christmas lights, making some cocoa, filling the Bose with Christmas CD’s and getting the addressing of Christmas cards finally finished! Then I can clean up the big mess I made and start a new mess! Yeah. You stay warm today, it’s only in the 20’s here except the wind makes it – well it makes it feel like we live in Alaska in January. LOL Love and hugs and make this a Meaningful Monday my friend. XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. I do still try to impress you Grace! LOL! It really is a fun look! Hallmark?! What’s that! LOL!
Sounds like you had a lovely day planned! Don’t you love the constant cleaning cycle?! I do that every day too! That’s way too cold for me! You can keep all of your wintry weather! Hope that you had a nice day and got all of your stuff done! Love and hugs! XOXO πŸ™‚

  3. So glad I got to see your creative genius in action this weekend as you created this card. Love how it turned out! I was fried last night after making all of my cards and tags, but it was a very productive weekend and I have never had more fun doing it! Can I sign up for next December’s crop now? Hope you have a great week. It’s going to be a busy work week here too, but the Christmas music is still playing in my head so it will be a festive one! Lol!

    1. It was very nice to get to spend the weekend with you Linda! I can image that you would have been fried! You worked on your cards diligently all weekend! The crops are always a good time! You should sign up early, they fill up fast now! I hope that you have a great week too and that it isn’t as busy as you fear it will be! I’m over the Christmas music and I’m alone today so I don’t have to listen to it! Yay! πŸ™‚
