Freshly Made Sketches 265

After a rain soaked week it was nice to see the sun yesterday! The garbage pails finally stopped filling up at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store around 12:30! So nice not to hear dripping water all day! I worked on an Ornament Class that I will be having at the store on December 12th. I’ll share the project here over the weekend so you guys can see what we are going to make too! After work I came home and had dinner with my Parents and Taylor. After dinner I stopped home quick before heading over to Heather’s. She was watching her Nephew so he was there when I got there. He is a nice quiet little boy and watched TV most of the time. Her Brother-in-Law came by to get him around 8:00 and her and I watched some TV and had a few snacks! Today I’ll be working on some more kits for the Holidays and finishing up my cards for this month’s class! I love my job! 😀

I also made my card for today while I was at the store yesterday and it’s for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I really had fun making the Lawn Fawn Kit so I played with the stamps that I used in it again for today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Stackables to cut out a window from a piece of Solar White 80lb and also from a piece of Fun Foam. I stamped the falling snow from the Lawn Fawn Snow Cool Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman Ink onto the panel and another piece of Solar White 80lb. To the back of the front panel I adhered a piece of Acetate and the Fun Foam. My images are from the same set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored in with Copics and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered them to the solid stamped panel with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares and then added some Crystal Coarse Glitter to the well in the front panel and adhered the back panel to it. The whole thing is then adhered to the card base. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders to cut another piece of Solar White 80lb, stamped my greeting from the Lawn Fawn Merry Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman and adhered the piece to the card front with more E-Z Runner. Not an overly complicated shaker card and I do love the little penguins and snow-penguin in the set! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for stopping by today! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

The rain continued and so did the leaks in the ceiling at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Since a lot of the ceiling tiles have come down it was only pouring water in two places! LOL! I guess that’s better, right?! Other than the rain it was a nice day at the Store. My Parents came by for a visit and Renee had her Home Decor make up day so some ladies came in and painted their Santa pieces. I worked on some projects and made my card for today. On the way home I had stop at the DSW across the street from the Store to pick up some boots for Heather. Mum made stew for dinner, perfect for the weather that we have been having! After dinner I went over to Heather’s and gave her the boots, we ran to BJ’s and then went back to her house where she made me lunch for tomorrow! She really is very good to me! Today I want to package up my SIP Tags Kit and get a class together for a few weeks from now. Always something to do! 😀

The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge from my friend Sandy…

I kept my card very simple! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Kraft. I stamped the script stamp from the Hero Arts Vintage Post Photopolymer Stamp Set using my Mini MISTI (makes the repeat stamping so easy) in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts White Satin Embossing Powder. The panel is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. Across the lower half is a piece of Chinese Red that I flagged on the left. My mistletoe is from the Hero Arts Holly Days Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Hero Arts Intense Black Ink, again using the MISTI so I could stamp it a few times, onto Kraft. I used my Prismacolor Pencils to color it in. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die and adhered to red strip with more E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold onto a piece of 48lb Vellum with the left side flagged. I used Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape to adhered it over the mistletoe. A little sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is finished! I love that Hero Arts White Satin Embossing Powder and I was inspired by the incredibly talented Stephanie Klauck to use my colored pencils on Kraft Card Stock! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge! Thanks for coming by today! Have an awesome Thursday! 🙂
