Paper Players 325

It was overcast and dreary all day yesterday. The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was good like it always is, I got some things done and Renee and Angie worked on their projects all day. I snuck out a little early so that I could get the plastic ornaments that I needed for today’s class. After I did that I had dinner with my Parents and then came home and worked on today’s card. The dreary weather took a turn for the worse, it snowed last night! It’s way too early for that! Today I have my Ornament Class at the Store, that will be fun! ๐Ÿ˜€

Since there is no Mojo Monday for the rest of the year I get to share my card for the week’s Paper Players challenge…

It’s their last challenge for the year too! I knew what I wanted to use for the card, I just wasn’t sure exactly how I wanted to use it! I got a few goodies from Ellen Hutson the other day, I just couldn’t resist some of the new stamps and dies that they had! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Essentials by Ellen Poinsettia &ย Pine Dies to cut out some Brushed Silver Metallic Card Stock and Dark Gold Glitter Paper. I adhered the pine branches to the card with 1/8″ Score-Tape and the pinecones with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The peace is from the Essentials by Ellen Holiday Words Dies and is cut from a piece of Pluto Stardreamย Metallic and two pieces of Black 110lb. I adhered them to each other with more Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then to the card with 3M Foam Tape. All that was left to do was to add a few Platinum and Gold Pretty Pink Posh Sequins! I do love the dies, especially the Poinsettia & Pine, love those scribbly pinecones! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for starting your week off with a visit here! I wish you all a very happy Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. I love that you do multiple cuts often when you cut out your words. I tried it a few times but wasn’t anywhere near as successful as you have been. The combination of silver metallic, gold metallic and black falls into the rich/chic color category. Or, as my friend says – the “hob/nob” color scheme! LOL Hey, you can’t make these things up.

Can’t wait to see the ornaments you plan on making in your class today. You are going to share photos right? It’s snowing like mad right now and the hubs has already snow blowed the driveway once and will have to go back and do it again later on this afternoon. It definitely looks like Christmas around here. Have yourself a productive, fun and enjoyable Monday my friend. Love & Hugs to you! XXOO ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. It’s one of my favorite things to do Grace! It makes them nice and sturdy and gives them dimension! They look like chipboard! Yes, it is definitely a hob nob color scheme, very elegant! Ellen Hutson liked the card so much she posted it on her Instagram too!
I posted the ornaments today! I’m catching up on my comments too! Lots of stuff to do with the online store and some glitches! I’ll be gray by the time this is finished! LOL! I’m sorry to say that I’m glad that you have the snow and not me! We are to get some on Monday I think. I’m sure that your house looks lovely, just like a postcard! Love and hugs to you my friend! XOXO ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Absolutely fabulous design! This card is a beauty. Sorry I missed you at the store on Saturday when I stopped in. I though I needed a hard hat to get past all of the construction.

    1. Thank you so much Linda! I’m sorry that I missed you too! The construction here is bordering on insane! I’m over it! Hopefully it will be done soon! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. different! Love it, especially the pine cones. I dont recall seeing this set in her store, need to check it out.

hard to believe it is Monday, aside froim my trip to the Christmas market on Fridaty weekend was non eventful, no mojo. But I did get two tags made, better than nothing. Winter is so depressing, only 97 more days until Spring!

    1. Thanks Linda! I love Ellen Hutson’s dies and she has some great stamps too!
The weekend goes by way too fast! I think that any craftiness is good! I’m with you on Winter, Spring can’t get here fast enough! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. We are supposed to get 1/2 to 1 inch of snow in the morning. I dread winter! Thanks for the count to spring, Linda. That somehow made me feel better.
Justin, I love the color combo. Shiny and sparkly fun…
    Stay warm,
    Nancy B
