Vintage Snowglobe Christmas

Happy Christmas everyone! I had a nice relaxing day yesterday! In the morning I went over and met Heather and we ran a few errands before heading back to Geroge’s to have some lunch with him. After that I came home and watched a little TV, had dinner and then crafted for a bit. I did run out and do my last minute shopping and it was actually quite pleasant! Today I’ll be at my Parent’s house looking forward to watching Daniel open his presents! 🙂

I’ll keep today’s post short and sweet! This is a card that I made a few weeks ago and didn’t like! You can let me know what you think of it! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the Hero Arts Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints Background Stamped stamped in Tide Pool. The images in my shaker are from the Hero Arts Vintage Wishes Stamp & Die Combo, the snowman is stamped in Black and the trees in Soft Pool. For the front of my shaker I partially die cut the Jar Frame Cuts that coordinates with the Hero Arts Winter Scene Stamp & Die Combo from a piece of Tropical Sea and heat embossed the top of the jar in Hero Arts Platinum and Silver Embossing Powders. I assembled my shaker and all that was left to do was stamp the greeting from the Hero Arts Christmas Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and add it under the jar! I don’t know what it was that I didn’t like about the card but now that I look at it it’s not so bad! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thank you for spending a little of your Christmas with me! 🙂

  1. Merry Christmas, Justin.
Glad to hear that you got a chance to relax a little bit. Always good to do that every once in awhile. I like the card. I’m not a professional card maker, but I may have tried to emboss the snowman in white powder, and lightly colored in his hat, scarf and nose while shading in some areas. Just a thought. But, seriously you don’t need any suggestions. Your cards are always amazing. Enjoy your day! Take care and be safe! Hugs, Donna 🙂

    1. Merry Christmas to you too Donna!
I’m happy to have a few days off! It’s been a while! Glad that you like the card! Those are all great suggestions! Maybe he needed a little more and I would have liked him better! Hope you had a lovely day! Hugs to you! XO 🙂

  2. Merry Christmas. Enjoy your down time, its well deserved.

This csard is gorgeous, I love the colors, I really like how you off set the shaker to the side of the card, and mason jar globes are so popular now. Its funny how we are so critical of pur work.

Ok, my son is making us breakfast, then off to family for dinner deserts and god times. I think gifts will wait until tonight. My one son is working a 12 hour shift.

    1. I hope that you had a very Merry Christmas Linda! I’m thoroughly enjoying my time off!
