Kind Feathers

I had a very productive day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday! I decided that I would do a Lawn Fawn New Release Pre-Order and offer a 20% discount! If any of you are Lawn Fawn fans you should go and take a look! You can click HERE to go to the Lawn Fawn New Release Collection. If you place your order by JanuaryΒ 29th it will ship out to you on February 23rd which is release day. All orders over $50 qualify for FREE Shipping! Brand new Lawn Fawn goodies at 20% off, yay! I have looked at all of the new release and there are some awesome stamps set and dies in there! I can’t wait to get my hands on it! It was also a nice day because of the Crop. I had a good time with all of the ladies! After work I came home and watched a little TV, I’m getting caught up on This is Us and I’m really enjoying it! I did have a few errands to run so I went to the gas station and Target. Today I’ll go through the pre-orders from yesterday and start making my list! πŸ˜€

I have another simple card with a stamped background to share with you. I really am loving the stamped backgrounds lately. It’s a great way to stretch your stamps! To create the background I stamped the feathers from the Concord & 9th Give Thanks Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Fresh Peach, Soft Granite and Charcoal Ink. My greeting is cut out from a piece of American Crafts Silver Glitter Card Stock and Black. I adhered a strip of 48lb Vellum around the back of the stamped panel with E-Z Runner and then adhered the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My kind greeting is adhered with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive, the black first to the Vellum and then the Silver Glitter on top and slightly offset. Just a few Silver and Sparkling Clear Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and done! I love that kind Die and of course the feathers. I think this makes a fun and different thank you card, don’t you?! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! I always appreciate your visits and your comments make my days much better! Have a nice simple Sunday! πŸ™‚

  1. Have a great Sunday, Justin. I like the shadowed “kind” on the vellum. Your feathers are very nicely placed. Mine would end up on top of each other. Did you lay them out first, or just go for it?

    1. Thank you Nancy! I’m going to my Brother’s later for his Birthday! I just went for it stamping the feathers! It was fun! πŸ™‚

  2. Oh my this is just gorgeous! I’m really wanting this stamp set from Concord & 9th! But first I’m heading over to check out the Lawn Fawn pre-release! Lol

    1. Thank you Tina! Love that Give Thanks Set! The Lawn Fawn release is great!! Thanks for the order! πŸ™‚

  3. Beautiful, Justin!! Sequins are gorgeous, as always and I love the sentiment on the vellum. I love the colors you used for the feathers – such a great color combo (so uplifting for winter)! Even though yesterday was pretty mild for January. πŸ™‚ Using spray adhesive is a great idea – I have a can of it, but I never use it because I hate the smell of it and don’t want to spray it inside. With my luck, I would get startled by something and I end up spraying my entire craft room instead! LOL

Wow, you are super generous offering 20% off Lawn Fawn. I really want their mini ink cube packs as I’ve been converting my inks to the minis as they take up far less room and I can have more ink. πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you Christy! I wanted to use the Peach and thought that the gray was a good compliment. I do love my Spray Adhesive, I use it a lot! I have a box that I spray it in, small bursts!
I’m happy to offer the discount! The pre-order makes it easier for me to gauge what I need to order! Love the Mini Ink Cubes! πŸ™‚

  4. Good Morning Justin:

I can tell you are feeling better as the sequins are back! LOL What a neat background! Did you get the multiple colors on the feathers using markers? However you did it, they look fabulous. I often make my own backgrounds, not for any other reason then I’m too lazy to go through all my DSPs to find something. I actually don’t know why I even buy designer series paper. I think I have good intentions but…………..well, I don’t know what but! πŸ™‚ Anyway, today’s card is very refreshing for sure. I hope your day today is as productive and fun as yesterday’s was. Love and hugs to you my friend! XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Hello Grace!
LOL! Yes, I’m a bit better! The response to the pre-order has been really good! The feathers are all stamped! Super easy to do. I really am enjoying the stamped backgrounds! I have way too much patterned paper myself, and don’t use it enough! Having a good day, hope you are too! Love and hugs to you too! XOXOXO πŸ™‚

  5. I love this! The pink and grey feathers are perfect! And i love the velum overlay.

Thank you for being the awesome enabler! I love the new Lawn Fawn Pre-Release and alreadt had a wish list. I could not resit the 20% off. I got everything except the mini inks, I sort of spent over budget. Next time i’ll claim those. Seriously, thanks for the discount

    1. Thank you Linda!! You know how I love some Vellum!
I’m very happy when I get to do something fun like pass on a discount!! Thank you so much for the order!! Can’t wait to see what you make with it and can’t wait for February 23rd!! πŸ™‚

  6. Hi Justin:
Your card is awesome! Very unique and gorgeous color. LOVE that sentiment.
I’ve followed your blog for years; but, think I only commented once or twice.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing us to pre-order the new Lawn Fawn Release Products at a discount. I am a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator; but, I’m a HUGE Lawn Fawn Fan. So, I’ve placed my order with you instead of Lawn Fawn. I’m sure LF will wonder what happened to me; but, gosh, for everything I order, the 20% discount is very much welcomed.
Thanks again Justin…I don’t like to wish my life away; but, I can’t wait to receive my order.

    1. Hello Lynn!
Thank you!! Yes, that kind die is great, nice and big!
And I want to thank you for ordering through me!! I’m glad to pass on the discount!! Lawn Fawn is happy no matter where you get your products from, and I couldn’t be happier!! I can’t wait for the products to get here and get them out to you!! Thank you again! Just so you know you as a blog reader you always get a 10% discount! Just use code JKCARDSBLOG17! πŸ™‚

  7. Great card, Justin. I love those colors and the vellum with the beautiful font for “kind”. Somehow I missed your blogs the past couple of days. I’m glad you are feeling a little better. I’ll have to check out the sale. Take care, my friend.

    1. Thanks HJ! I love that kind die! I wondered where you were! The sale is great if I do say so myself! LOL! Have a fabulous day! πŸ™‚

  8. This card may be one of my all-time favorite Justine Creations! I adore the colors and the way you stamped those pretty feathers. It’s as if you threw up a handful and captured a picture of them slowly wafting down to the ground! LOVE IT!

Glad to hear that you are enjoying This Is Us. When you catch up, I have another show to recommend. It’s called Good Behavior and it’s on TNT. The first season (10 episodes) is done with new episodes coming in the fall, but you can catch it all On Demand. Michelle Dockery stars in a very un-Downton Abbey-like role.

    1. Thank you very much Linda! I do enjoy my feathers!!
I love the show! Heather watches Good Behavior, I watched one episode and didn’t love it. I have been told that I need to watch the Blacklist. I’ll give Good Behavior another try! πŸ™‚
