Mojo Monday 480

Well, I enjoyed my Sunday and hope that you did too! The second day of the Anniversary Crop at the Store was fun! We had an Italian and American Hero, Macaroni and Potato Salad for lunch and of course dessert! Someone made a baked Brie with pears and it was delicious! After work I came home and had a little dinner with my Parent’s. The rest of the evening was spent watching TV. I’m still not feeling my old self yet and have little motivation to do much. Hopefully that will change as the week wears on! πŸ˜€

It’s Monday and I get to share my Design Team card with you for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

I was lucky enough to get my January My Monthly Hero Kit in the mail on Saturday so I took it to the store to play with yesterday! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Chinese Red. Across the card is a strip of Crisp Green. I used the Hero Arts Nesting Postage Stamp Infinity Dies to cut out a piece of Carta Bella Beach Day Surf Shop 12×12 and a another piece of Crisp Green. I ran the patterned paper through my Big Shot twice to get it to be a square and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. My images and greeting are from the January My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the bouquet and additional flowers in Hero Arts Bubble Gum and Memento Tuxedo Black which I also used for the wrap. The wrap is colored in with Copics and then adhered with the bouquet and additional flowers to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I heat embossed the Love onto a piece of Chinese Red in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, flagged the right side and tucked it under the flowers. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry, Watermelon and Sparkling Clear Sequins and the card is finished. I love the flowers in the shape of a heart and the fun postage stamp dies! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has come up with to inspire you! Let’s see your take on the sketch, share your card in the gallery with us! Thank you very much for starting another week off here with me! Have an awesome Monday! πŸ™‚

  1. Hi Justin, Hope you feel better soon. I’m hearing so many people being under the weather. This Valentine card is perfect. Not too mushy, just enough. My family sends a lot of cards and this would be perfect for one of my sisters. The other one I’d have to add a little Happy Birthday banner . . . but I do try to send her two separate cards. <3

    1. Hello Nancy! I’m so sick of being sick! Lots of people are sick, I know. Glad that you enjoyed the card! I like ones that are not too mushy! Hope that you enjoyed your weekend! πŸ™‚

  2. Looks even better on the big screen than on my phone! Sorry I missed the anniversary crop this weekend, but I will be at the no-frills crop at the end of the month! Hopefully I will find my mojo by then! LOL! Hope you are feeling better!
    Have a wonderful week!

    1. LOL! Thanks Linda! You were missed at the crop but I look forward to seeing you at the end of the month! Mojo is very elusive sometimes! I’m feeling better but not 100%! Hope that you are enjoying your week! πŸ™‚

  3. HI Justin:

Those nesting postage stamp dies are really neat! Also, I love the name “bubble gum” for a pink ink. Way too cute. You’ve managed to put together a fabulous card with pink and red and flowers and sequins. I just love it. Can’t wait to see what the rest of the crew did with the sketch. Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. It takes time, plenty of sleep and lots of liquid. From what I can ascertain this type “flu” bug is all over the country. I had thought it was confined to New England. NOT Have yourself a Magical Monday my friend and feel better soon. Love and hugs to you! XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Hello Grace!
Thanks! I like the nesting postage stamp dies and Hero has some fun names for their inks! I have been really good about getting more sleep that I’m use to. I’m really over being sick! Have to make sure I stay away from little Daniel the next time he isn’t well! Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  4. Love this! this was a great kit. Sory you still are feeling sick, this virus is taking forever to go away. I’ve had two kids sick fr over two weeks, slow healing definitely.

I’m done, pure ice driving to work today. I find nothing beautiful about winter. I dont even think the trees are pretty anyomore. I guess I’m getting old…

    1. Thank you Linda! It is a fun kit! The Hero kits are my favorite! It really is taking way too long for this cold to leave! You are not getting old, I hate all of the Winter has to offer too! πŸ™‚

  5. Not that this is any comfort to you, Justin, but my hubby and I had this cold, cough and sore throat bug for 3 weeks over the holidays. We had no stamina, so I understand exactly why you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired. It takes a while to get over it. I’m glad you were able to get this pretty card together for the challenge and us. The heart bouquet is perfect for Valentine’s. I like the bright colors and, of course, the sequins. You are so creative. Take care and I hope you feel back to your normal soon.

    1. Three weeks! Yikes! I am loaded up on vitamin C and echinacea! I fell better but not completely. I’m glad that you like the card, crafting definitely helps get my mind off of the cold. I hope that you are having a nice week! πŸ™‚
