Mojo Monday 482

And to begin our week here we have snow! Not a lot but snow none the less! Oh Winter go away! LOL! I had a very busy day yesterday at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. I got all of the Lawn Fawn Pre-Orders together, there were a lot so thank you very much! Finished them up last night and will get them off today! I also have a boat load of projects to start or get finished, but it’s mostly crafty things so it’s all good! I got a few things in from Sunny Studios too and they will be up on the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store SiteΒ later on today! πŸ˜€

Monday and we have a new Mojo Monday sketch for you…

I kept very true to the sketch and used a bunch of Lawn Fawn goodies! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front with a piece of Battleship Gray and then a piece of Authentique Fabulous 12×12 serves as my background. Next up is another piece of Battleship Gray that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Fancy Scalloped Circle Stackables Lawn Cuts and on top of that is another piece of the Fabulous 12×12 cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts, some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner adheres it to the card. Two squares of Rose Chintz are cut out with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Squares Stackables Lawn Cuts, they are adhered with more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My heart is a piece of Ballerina Pink cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Heart Stackables Lawn Cuts, again adhered with more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The greeting is a piece of American Crafts Silver Glitter Card Stock and two more pieces of Battleship Gray cut out with the Lawn Fawn Scripty Hugs Lawn Cuts. I adhered them to each other, the top one slightly offset, with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then to the card with 3D Foam Squares and Multi-Matte Medium. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins and the card is done! Love the pinks with the gray and the nice sparkly greeting! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Head over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see your take on the sketch in the gallery! Thank you for staring another week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! πŸ™‚

  1. SNOW . . . ugh! Oh, this is a very nice card . . . the shape, the colors, the layers and the hugs!
I was wondering . . . did they finish construction by your store?
    Have a great Monday.

    1. LOL! I’ll take snow like that anytime Nancy, wasn’t bad at all! Glad that you like the card! The construction at the store seems like it will never be finished. They keep coming back to do little bits! Ugh! πŸ™‚

  2. It began snowing about bedtime but it is all gone this morning. YAY!! I love your card with the Fabulous paper and the silver hugs, as well as the other elements. So pretty. I love that sketch. Thanks for the reminder about the sale yesterday. My world is turning a little too fast lately and I need all the help I can get to keep it from going off the track!! LOL Have a great day!

    1. That’s the best kind of snow isn’t it HJ?! Thank you! It’s not my usual style but the card was fun to put together! No stamping either. Glad that you took advantage of the sale! Everyone has way too much going on! Hope you re enjoying your week! πŸ™‚

  3. Wow Justin – What a contrast to the cards with white space you have been showcasing. Kind of took me by surprise here. That was a pretty complicated sketch this week but you managed to pull it off beautifully. I love when you do multiple layers with die cut words, especially when you “shadow” them.

The snow you got today is due here tomorrow and I can’t wait. I am so tired of the drab blah weather we have been having. Send in either the snow or sunshine, I don’t care which. Just something that isn’t all cloudy and gray. Heck, February is usually a lot snowier (is that really a word?) then January around here so hopefully things will stay true to form. I finally cleaned up my card mess and can start sewing my nephew and niece’s 25th anniversary quilt together. I want to get that done and get back to making cards fairly quickly. I have lots of other things waiting in line for me to get to but I was so far behind I was stressing out doing things that should be fun. Of course – all that fun stops for a week or so while I work on the taxes – that is the worst week of the year every year and a bane to my existence. Oh well – You have yourself a Marvelous Monday my friend. Love and hugs to you! XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks Grace! I have really been enjoying my clean cards but it’s fun to make one with a lot of layers and you can always count on a Mojo Sketch for that! I like the stacked die cuts, adds so much to them!
I would take the sunshine over the snow! We have had the same weather here, lots of clouds. I would be fine with no more snow! Oh, another quilt! My projects are all backed up, I need to get going! I have to start thinking about taxes too, yikes! Hope you are enjoying your week! Love and hugs! XOXO πŸ™‚

  4. Loving the sparkles, Justin!! Are you sure you weren’t slightly ever so influenced by the snow when you created your card? By adding the glitter paper and the sequins, you could have been channeling the sparkle that freshly fallen snow gives. πŸ™‚

No snow for us today, but it looks like some nuisance snow is on the horizon for tomorrow… Just hope it comes in and goes before I have to drive home from the train station (oh, and that the town crews have been on top of keeping the roadways clear)!

    1. Thank you Christy! I think that you may be correct! I didn’t think about that until you said it!
The snow we had wasn’t bad at all. None on the roads! Hope that same was true for you! πŸ™‚

  5. WOW! I love this sketch and I love your creation with it. The colors are awesome. I love how you made all the dies work together, We have had a consistent light dusting all weekend. Calling for about 2 inches by thursday aM rush hour of course. Luckily Spring is 48 days away

    1. Thanks Linda! It was fun to make a card with just dies! I hope that the snow missed you! I love your countdown to Spring! πŸ™‚
