Paper Craft Crew 227

A lovely, dreary, rainy day is what we had here yesterday. At least it wasn’t cold! Another fun day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store despite the weather. I got my card made for today and ran to the Post Office to mail out a few orders. Speaking of orders, thank you so much for them! It means a lot to meΒ that you choose to get some of your crafty goodness from me! As a thank you to all of my faithful blog readers you can use discount code JKCARDSBLOG17 to take 10% off every order from the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! The discount can’t be combined with other discounts. And remember that all orders over $50 ship for FREE! Don’t forget about the two sales that are going on now as well! You can read more about that on yesterday’s blog post! I spent the rest of the day working on things and I also had the pleasure of speaking to my friend Anna from The Ink Pad! Oh how I miss her! The rest of my evening was the usual dinner and then TV. Not the most exciting person at night lately, I know. I’ll have to work on that! πŸ˜€

Let’s see… Wednesday, oh, I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

I wanted to keep my card clean and use only one stamp set so I pulled out one of my favorites! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Across the lower half I added a piece of American Crafts Peacock Glitter Tape. My images and greeting are from the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Tide Pool and Mint Julep and the leaves in Lime Green. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts and adhered to the card with Dot Runner and 3D Foam Squares. For the greeting I heat embossed the hello in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Tropical Sea, flagged the right side and used some more 3D Foam Squares to adhered it to the card. It needed a little bling and I wanted something different so I added a few gems from the Hero Arts Pool Mixed Accents and that did the trick! I love the colors together and the fun sparkle of the Peacock Glitter Tape! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by and for your support! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

  1. Love, love, love the colors on today’s card. When I first saw the sketch I thought “Easter”. Then I went to the blog and found that not a single blogger had done an Easter card. After thinking about it for a while I realized that is why I’m not anywhere near as artistic as all these bloggers…………..I only saw the obvious, while all you talented people saw such a variety of ideas. I just love seeing what you come up with and your color choices. Today’s card is just gorgeous and has the perfect amount of white space to promote the beauty of the main image. Great job Justin!

Woke up to more snow today. Not a lot but enough to be an annoyance. It’s still snowing out there so we will see if the hubs ends up riding the snow blower around later or not. Had lunch at Olive Garden yesterday followed by a trip to Sam’s Club. Got that all out of the way before the snow started. An expensive day for sure but necessary. Today I’ll continue working on some birthday cards. My stash is empty. LOL You have yourself a Wonderful Wednesday my friend. Love and hugs to you, XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you Grace! LOL! It’s the oval! It looks like an egg! I did a very loose interpretation of the sketch. I really just wanted to use the flowers, love them.
We have been lucky enough to just have rain. You do like your snow though! Let’s not forget that! I haven’t been to the Olive Garden in forever. I love their salad and breadsticks! Enjoy you craftiness! Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  2. Hi Justin, what a pretty card. I love the colors. It was nice not to see RED! I think I’m getting more Valentine’s Red than Christmas. Not complaining, just observing. Funny Grace, I too saw Easter first!
Also, how are you feeling today? Pretty gloomy out, but at least no rain is in the forecast.
    Happy Hump Day!

    1. Hello Nancy! Thank you! Yes, I have seen a lot of red lately too!
I’m feeling bit better, not quite there yet but closer. It is gloomy, but it’s not snow! Happy Hump Day to you too! πŸ™‚

  3. Ok, now I think that bug is getting to your head! Yesterday was anything but a lovely, rainy day. It was cold, dark and miserable! Lol! Seriously, I am glad you you had a nice day and hope you are feeling better.

I love this card! I have had this stamp set for a while and can’t even remember if I ever used it. You are inspiring me to pull it out! The colors are perfect and I love the mixed jewels! Outstanding! One of my faves!
