Paper Players 326

It was like a Spring day here on Long Island yesterday! The temps got well up into the high 50’s! Such a nice reprieve from the snow! It won’t last for long, it’s to get cold again today but I enjoyed every minute of it! Renee and I got ready for the upcoming weekend crop at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and Scrap-A-Latte. I also worked on my card for today and left the store a little early to come home and take a nap. I went over to the Heather’s for the last Thirsty Thursday at her old apartment. Brian and Kim stopped by and then Heather and I went to see Stephanie at her house for a bit. Today I’m off from the store but after I get a haircut in the morning I’ll head over there for a bit, my friend Patrice is stopping by! πŸ˜€

The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I did use something somewhat recycled on my card. I had a few stamped flowers and leaves from a card that I had made a while ago using the Reverse Confetti Blooms ‘N Buds Photopolymer Stamp Set. They are stamped in Hero Arts Lime Green, Emerald Green and Butter Bar and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. They have been sitting on my desk for a long time and needed to be used! I adhered them to a tag with 3D Foam Squares that I cut out of Kraft and Crisp Green using the Reverse Confetti Topped Off Tags Confetti Cuts. I adhered the green piece to the tag and then threaded some May Arts Natural Twine through the top before adhering it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. My butterfly/greeting is stamped in Hero Arts Butter Bar using the Reverse Confetti Butterfly Dreams Photopolymer Stamp Set and is cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I used some more 3D Foam Squares to adhered it to the card and tucked the twine behind it. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Mossy Green, Lemon Drop and Iridescent Sunshine Glow Sequins and some Clear Droplets and the card is done! I do love those flowers and that butterfly, the greeting is really neat too! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you for coming by today! Have a fantastic Friday! πŸ™‚

  1. Wonderful card, Justin. I love all the different elements, especially the butterfly with the saying on it, the green piece and the pretty flower and leaves. Such a bright spring-y card. Butter Bar is a very pretty soft yellow. I hope you are feeling better. It takes time, but it seems you are cramming a week’s worth of work into each day, which is your usual m.o. LOL! Take care, my friend.

    1. Thank you HJ! I do love that Butterfly too! I needed a Spring card, it was nice and warm and I want Spring here as fast as possible! LOL! I’m feeling a lot better thanks, not 100% but getting there. I do try and keep busy, takes my mind off of it! Hope you had a good day! πŸ™‚

  2. Love the colors Justin and the butterfly with the saying on it. I also love that you are putting links to the store so we can purchase items used in your cards directly from you if we wish to. Keep up the fabulous work.

I also want to thank you for sending that beautiful weather you had yesterday to our neck of the woods for today. Yesterday we had rain but today the sun is shining and it is forecast to be in the upper 40’s. Hooray. Still playing catch up from vacation and being sick but feeling human again is beyond wonderful. LOL Hope you and your Mum and Dad are all feeling better. If not, take it easy and eventually the misery will leave. Love and hugs to you my friend. XXOO πŸ™‚
