Paper Players 328

Hello my peeps! What a nice day I had yesterday in Manhattan! Well, except for the 40 minutes that I spent stuck in between stations on the Subway. Thankfully I had my AirPods and some good music to get me through that! Ella was lovely as always. We had a very good discussion about Politics. From there I headed down to The Ink Pad to see Anna. We had a good time as we always do! When I left the store to go to Penn Station I realized that all I had all day was a Venti Soy Vanilla Latte! Oops! I did have dinner with my Parent’s when I got home and then ran to Target with Heather. A little This is Us and then bed. Renee is off today and I have two peeps coming in for a card class this morning, that will be fun! πŸ˜€

Today I have a super clean and simple card to share with you for this week’s Paper Players challenge! But before we get to that I want to thank Nance for choosing me as her Cut Above for last week’s challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE! Now for this week’s challenge badge…

This may the the cleanest card I have ever made! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed the rose and leaves from the Altenew Penned Rose Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. To give the card just a little color I used a Copic to color in the back side of the leaves. The Coordinating dies are used to cut them out and some Multi-Matte Medium adheres them to the card. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Onyx Black in the lower right. It needed some sparkle so I added a fewΒ Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins! I do love the softness of the card and all of the whitespace! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players CAS Flowers Challenge! Thanks for stopping by! Have a tremendous Thursday! πŸ™‚

  1. Clean, simple….and perfect! I love this card, Justin. The white on white really makes quite an impact!

Glad you had such a fun day in the City! Are you all caught up on This Is Us? Enjoy the day! Hopefully the sun will come out to stay one of these days!

    1. Thanks Linda! I’m so glad that you like the card! I loved making it! So simple!
Yes, the city was great! I am all caught up!! We can discuss on Saturday! The sun peeked out, it was lovely! πŸ™‚

  2. Hi Justin:

This is the absolutely PERFECT wedding card today. The white rose symbolizes the purity of the new couples love for one another. Yes, I am a romantic and I love weddings. In addition, when the couple has “big” anniversaries like the tenth and twenty fifth it is a tradition in our family that they open their wedding remembrance box and look at all their cards received on their wedding day in addition to other “trophies” of that amazing day. The one you have created will still be among the most cherished.

I can’t believe you spent an entire day in the City where every kind of food from all over the world is readily available and beyond delicious and forgot to eat! Yikes! That is one thing I can guarantee would never, ever happen if I were with you. LOL Also, I don’t know how you ever made it sitting in a subway car in one spot for 40 minutes, music or no music. I am way too claustrophobic to have survived that. You have yourself a Terrific Thursday my friend and enjoy your class. It has to be a ton of fun with only 2 people. Lots of personal interaction. Love you lots, XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Hello Grace!
Thank you! Yes, it would make a good wedding card! I love a wedding too! Maybe one day I will have one! Nah, probably not! LOL! That is very sweet of you to say! I would love it someone really treasured the card!
I know, if I’m not thinking about food I forget to eat! I wish I could forget more often! I need to shed a few pounds! The Subway was out of my control so no sense getting worked up about it. I get the claustrophobia but it’s a big car and there are other people in there! Class this morning was great! I do like the more one on one class, makes it easier for the beginners! Love to you my friend! XOXO πŸ™‚

  3. Oh Justin, this is gorgeous! Love all that beautiful white-on-whiteness, and the blossom embossed on the vellum is just perfect!

  4. Just gorgeous, Justin! I love the elegance and simplicity of your card. The vellum is magnificent and I love how you added a bit of color to the leaves.

Getting stuck in a subway car for 40 min would drive me nuts, especially if the car is crowded. For your sake, I hope the car wasn’t too crowded (or too sparse). That’s why I always have something to read to distract me from the fact that the car isn’t moving. Fortunately, I’ve only been stuck for 10-15 minutes at a time – I hope your subway ride hasn’t jinxed me! Getting stuck in the subway is no fun, but on a Friday when one is trying to get home after a long week would be my nightmare.

    1. Thank you so much Christy! I really do love to use Vellum and it needed just a little bit of subtle color!
It wasn’t my favorite part of the day but there wasn’t anything that I could do. I just sat there and listened to my music and closed my eyes. I’m sure that my Subway ride hasn’t jinxed you! You will have a good day! πŸ™‚
