Simple Love

Happy weekend peeps! We did get the snow that they promised but it wasn’t too bad. However, we are to have some more today, between 3-6 inches. That’s too much for me! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was a good time as always. I had to run out and take a few orders to the Post Office, I made it to the little one close to me. I like that one much better! After work I headed over to Geroge’s to help him and Heather put together some new pieces of furniture for her move in! There was so much traffic on the way home, no idea why! We had Italian for dinner and I got home around 10:30. I have a little bit of a cold that I’m sure my little buddy Daniel shared with me, all I want to do is stay in bed! I’m on my own at the Store today, Renee is having Christmas with her kids and her daughter is having the big baby reveal! They will find out if it’s going to be a boy or a girl! πŸ˜€

I mentioned that I’m trying to make a lot more simple cards and today’s definitely falls in that category! I cut a heart out of a piece of Solar White 80lb and adhered it with Dot Runner Adhesive to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Using my Mini Ink Blending Tool I applied some Hero Arts Red Royal Ink. When I was finished I removed the heart. My greeting and little hearts are from the Hero Arts Love Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the hearts and “you so much” in more Red Royal and die cut the Love from a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Card Stock. All that was left to do was to adhere the Love to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Like I said… super simple, but they would make great quick Valentine’s wouldn’t you agree?! I hope that you like today’s quick and easy card! Thank you so much for coming by! Have a spectacular Saturday! πŸ™‚

  2. Great card, Justin. I love the design with the gold glitter Love. Your sponging of the Royal Red is wonderful. I love that color red. We’re supposed to get more snow today, but for me, I’ve had my fill for this winter. LOL We’ll see what Mother Nature brings. Stay safe and warm, my friend.

    1. Thanks HJ! I too love that Red Royal and it’s nice to do some sponging instead of using colored card stock! I have also had my fill of snow for this winter! Hope that you are safe and warm my friend! πŸ™‚

  3. Being the CAS card kind of gal that I am, added to the fact that I’m starting to think I will never feel human again, I love this card and this idea. I have 20 Valentine’s cards to make and I haven’t even made my thank you cards for Christmas gifts received yet. Me and the Hubs are like two blobs sitting around coughing and moaning all day. What a couple of whimps! Anyway, thanks Justin – I plan on casing this one if I ever again feel like a human being. Love and hugs to you my friend! XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. I’m sorry that you are still not feeling well Grace! I hope that you do CASE the card, it really was nice and easy to make! I hope that you and hubs are feeling better!! Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  4. Hi Grace, my hubby and I had the cold, sore throat and coughing for three weeks over Christmas. I know what you mean about not feeling human. I wanted to send warm hugs and healing wishes to both of you to get better. We have been married for 44 years and had never been sick at the same time. He’s a trouper and thankfully could make dinner for us. Just take it easy, lots of liquids and rest. It takes time to get over it. Take care.

  5. Hi Justin,
This card is so sweet. Simple but says it all. I love the placement of those little hearts!
Hope you don’t get as much snow as we are getting at the Jersey shore. Looks like about 6 inches and it’s still going. Keep warm.

    1. Hello Gerri!
