Fab Friday 105

Yay! It’s Friday! We had a busy week at the Stores. Today was Home Decor Project make up day and I had my Make-n-Take. There was also an impromptu Cricut class, I now have taught myself how to use one! LOL! When I got home I had a little dinner with the Parent’s and then watched some TV. Today, projects as always! Wouldn’t have it any other way! 😀

It’s a double good Friday because it’s time for another Fab Friday challenge…

I have been on a little bit of a Spring /Summer kick lately I know, but I can’t wait for the Winter to be over! The base for today’s card is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Bo Bunny Double Dot paper that I found while rummaging through one of Renee’s paper bins. I also cut a piece with the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border Lawn Cut and adhered it across the bottom with some 3D Foam Squares. Next up I used Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon and Spiced Marmalade and my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add color to a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card. It’s cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies with the right side trimmed off before being adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. The flamingo is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Flamingo Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Soft Pink, Bubble Gum, Ultra Pink, Pale Tomato, White Dye and Intense Black using my Mini MISTI. I adhered him to the card with more 3D Foam Squares. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Intense Black with the right side cut at an angle. I added a piece of Black and then adhered the greeting to the card with still more 3D Foam Squares. All that was left to do was to add some Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina Pink and Holiday Shimmer Mix Sequins and the card is finished! I love the nice bold green with the bright yellow and orange behind the bright pink of the flamingo! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! 1. I think the sentiment should read, “Hello Sunshine,” because that is what this card makes me think of on this cold February morning. Thanks for that! Love your beautifully distressed sun! Gorgeous mix of colors!

So as cold as it is, i know I could feel worse. My nephew and his wife are taking the Polar Bear plunge on Sunday and I get to watch the kiddos in my nice warm house while they do it.

After a stressful week, I sat down to finally watch This Is Us and was majorly disappointed to see that The Wall was on instead. Don’t know why my DVR still recorded it unless it was a last minute switch. Thank goodness Grey’s and Scandal were excellent! Happy Friday!

    1. Yes Linda, you’re right! I think I have that sentiment somewhere! Glad I could bring a little warmth to you today!
No!! My friend did that one year! Absolutely insane! I hate being cold and to be submerged in cold water… no thanks!
I didn’t think it was on this week! Someone told me that it wasn’t. Glad that you had Grey’s and Scandal to make up for it! Happy Friday to you my friend! 🙂

  2. Justin,
Great card!! I normally don’t care for bright colors but I LOVE this!! I also can’t wait for spring…

    1. Hi Gerri!
Thank you! I enjoy a nice bright card every so often! Spring can’t get here fast enough! 🙂

  3. I love love love this card! The color combination is so much fun ! I can feel the “sun spots” the sequins make, which is what we need in this 14 degree morning. Have a warm Friday! Hugs, Nancy B

    1. Thank you very much Nancy! Glad that I could warm up your morning a bit! Warm and toasty hugs to you! 🙂

  4. Hi Justin:

Had a lot of errands to run today so I am just getting a chance to jump on the computer before I start suppah! LOL
My daughter Tracy and the Ex-Hubs both love flamingos. I think it’s because they both hate winter and would much rather be in Florida but anywhooooooo – I really enjoyed seeing a bright, bright colorful card today and I have to agree with Linda E that your combo of colors on the sun is just gorgeous. I was also reminded that I have five 12 X 12 sheets of that Bo Bunny paper somewhere in this room. Now, to find it!

Cold here today but I have so much more energy when it’s cold. It’s a good thing too because I had a ton of errands to run and I hate doing that because it wears me out. The extra energy I get from the cold weather helps me make it through all that nasty stop-n-go errand runs. Of course I ended up at the grocery store and Coffee ice cream was on sale. Guess what tonight’s dessert is? You have yourself a Fantastic Friday my friend. Love & Hugs to you. XXOO 🙂

    1. Hello Grace!
It’s good to get your errands done early! I like flamingos too, and I think for the same reason! I love that paper, I have to see if I can find some more! Glad that you like the card!
It’s freezing here today! It’s funny how even in the Winter we still want ice cream, isn’t it?! Glad that you got all of your stuff done and I hope that you enjoyed your ice cream! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂

  5. Awesome! That stamp set will never go out of style! Perfect DP.

I am soon glad its Friday. I love my new job but it is hectic. Hopefully mojo will find me this WE, its too cold to do much of anything else.

    1. Thanks Linda! Nope, it’s a great set!
I’m glad that it’s Friday too, I think I may take off tomorrow! I need to get my Mojo going today! It’s a good weekend to be in and get crafty! 🙂
