Freshly Made Sketches 273

Hello my friends! It’s getting chilly here again, guess Winter is back for a little while. The Store was a good time yesterday, projects were worked on, Angie was in and Marianne came by to work on her Home Decor Projects. After work I stopped and saw Heather for a bit and then came home, had some dinner and listened to some music. Jim stopped by and so did Heather. What a nice way to end a Friday! I have a lot more projects to get finished up at the Store today, as always, so much fun! πŸ˜€

My card that I have to share with you is SUPER Clean and Simple and it’s for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

To start the card I stamped the celebrate from the Altenew Super Script Photopolymer Stamp Set in Sapphire, Persian Blue and Caribbean Sky Crisp Ink using my Mini MISTI so I could double stamp them to get a nice crisp image. The three are then cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I lined them up on a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and stamped the happy birthday from the same set in Sapphire. The lightest one is adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and the other two with 3D Foam Squares. I was going to add a few sequins but decided that I liked it just the way it is! I hope that you like my Clean and Simple card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! I thank you for coming by and visiting today! Have a super Saturday! πŸ™‚

  1. Ok–Three things I love: That sketch. Your color combo. That stamp set with dies! Thanks a lot–you just don’t care how much money I spend, do you??? But seriously, adorable. (and seriously adorable. commas count!) btw–may I take a moment of your time? My sister works in hospice care and they try to collect birthday cards for their centenarians. There is a little old lady turning 104 but they only have about 50 cards so far. Got one laying around you could send? If so, (no pressure) could you send it to Miss Irene, c/o Beacon Hospice, attn. Karen Powell, 13 Branch St, Suite 100, Methuen, MA 01844. Thanks–whatever the case!

    1. Ann,
I’d be happy to send a card to miss Irene, if that’s OK. I assume you want it signed? It’s not blank cards you want is it?

    2. HI Ann:
I will get a card out to Miss Irene also. 104 – amazing and what a wonderful thing for Hospice to do. I would guess their goal is to get her 104 cards? If so, I hope they make their goal.
      Grace

    3. Thank you Ann! LOL! Listen, I have a business to run now! LOL! Can I add this info to the post for tomorrow about the birthday cards?! I will definitely send one! Let me know!! πŸ™‚

  2. Hi Justin:

The dimension on this card is fabulous. You know I love a card with white space and another good thing is that it’s a great card for family, friends and even strangers to us like Miss Irene. Every once in a while I see a request for cards for a sick child or a very special person who has been injured and this design is great for any age, either sex, relative or non relative. I think we all need to have a few of these very versatile cards in our stock pile. Love it. Wishing you a Sensational Saturday. Love & Hugs, XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Hello Grace!
Thank you! It’s really simple but I like the colors and the way the celebrate get higher! I love that we can make a card and send it to someone to brighten their day! Hope you have a fabulous day! Love and hugs! XOXO πŸ™‚

  3. Awesome clean and simple, yet WOW! Love the ombre effect. Cold here too but sunny, Ill take it

  4. Great take on the challenge, Justin! And you have to love those pretty Alte New inks! Wish I was crafting today, but instead I am cleaning (and avoiding cleaning by reading blogs)! If I had a super power, I think it would be to have a self-cleaning house!

    1. Thank you Linda! I do love the Altenew Inks, they are really nice! LOL! I would have a maid if I could! My superpower would be either mind reading or flying! πŸ™‚

  5. Oh I am in LOVE!! Your take on the sketch is fabulous. I love the layered sentiment and the colors you used. Wonderful design.

  6. Just gorgeous, Justin!! The ombre blues look great and I love the stacked sentiments. Shocked to read that you decided not to use sequins though. πŸ™‚ its looks perfect the way it is so I don’t fault you for deciding to be sequin-less today. My card for this challenge used a few sequins so we’ll call it even. πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you Christy! I do love the simplicity of the card! Not something I do very often! LOL! Sometimes you need sequins sometimes you don’t! See, we balanced each other out! πŸ™‚
