Mojo Monday 485

It was the most glorious day here yesterday! It got up to 65 degrees and it was nice and sunny! We had a fun day at the Store. Renee and Angie had their tag class, I worked on projects and catching up on things. I did sneak out early so I could go for a ride in the convertible! Oh how I love that! After some pizza for dinner Taylor and I watched a movie and then ran to Target. Today apparently is a Holiday, I will be at the store! Renee has her Home Decor Class today, more fun! 😀

It is Monday and that means time for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

I’m really into the teals and purples lately and that is evident on today’s card! My base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Beautiful Words Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp the outline word beautiful onto a piece of Purple Hearts with some Lawn Fawn Sugarplum Ink repeatedly to create a background and adhered it to the card. On top of that is a piece of Bo Bunny Believe Devotion 12×12 Paper with a piece of American Crafts Peacock Glitter Tape adhered across the bottom. I slipped a piece of American Crafts Purple Baker’s Twine behind the stamped background and tied it in a bow. My flagged piece of Tropical Sea has the solid beautiful heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder across the top and the YOU is die cut from Cyber Grape using the Concord & 9th Beautiful You Dies. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My butterfly is cut from more Cyber Grape using the Concord & 9th Floral and Flutter Dies. I adhered it with a sliver of a 3D Foam Square and fluffed up the wings and antenna. Some Pretty Pink Posh Enchanted Garden Sequins complete the card. I still love that butterfly after all of this time and the colors, some of my current faves! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s card and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

  1. Beautiful colorful card, Jason. Any chance the Tags that Angie and Renee had the class make are on the Internet? California is a long way from New York.

  2. Lovely, Justin! That flutter die is a must have! I envy you. I was an asst. manager in a gift store that branched out into scrapbooking when that craft finally reached the east coast. The best part was teaching classes and having some say in the products we carried. Ah, those were the days! Thanks for sharing!

    1. Thank you Ann! I do love that butterfly, so nice and different! It’s not always fun! LOL! Most of the time but it’s a lot of work too! Have a great day! 🙂

    1. Thanks Christine! I am really into the teals and purples as of late! I like the subtlety of the background! Have a fun day! 🙂

  3. WOW Justin! What a bright card to start my day. Teals are by far the most beautiful of blues and the Lawn Fawn Sugarplum is a fabulous purple. These will be fun colors to use on Easter cards too. I need to start thinking about making some of those soon.

We also had a sunshiny day for most of the day yesterday and the temperatures got into the high 40’s. I thought we would have a few sunny days but we are back to the gloomies here. Lots of sales going on but not a thing I need so I”ll have a good excuse to stay home and continue on the road to recovering. Have yourself a Marvelous Monday my friend. Love and hugs to you, XXOO 🙂

    1. Thank you Grace! I agree, love teals! They are good Easter colors for sure!
It was gorgeous here yesterday! I was a happy boy! It’s good when you don’t need anything! I find myself felling that way lately! I hope that you road is nice and smooth! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂

  4. Beautiful card, Justin. I love those colors and the butterfly and the teal glimmer tape, plus the pretty sequins. All the elements are just perfect!! I’m glad to hear you got to ride with the top down. Today’s another nice day. I think your wishes for spring are coming true, but I don’t think it will last until summer. We’ll take as many of these nice days as we can get, right?

    1. Thank you HJ! I’m really into the colors lately! You know how I love a ride in the convertible! I think we will have a few more cold days before the warm ones are here to stay! 🙂

  5. Hi Justin,
Beautiful colors! And that butterfly die is so pretty! Love the way you put it all together.

  6. Gorgeous! I love yur colors. Love the butterfly also, yep, I have it and it is still in the original package. OMG I wish I was rich and could just play all day.. LOL, Talk about being rich….I reveived an email from the FBI today telling me that they found a trust in my name for 10.3 million, yep. (Jealous hugh) I was laughing so hard….then I glanced at the bottom of the email and it stated, “We are concerned about your safety, we know there are alot of scams out there, trust us, this is a legit email, this is not a scam” OMG, sadly people fall for this.

    1. Thanks so much Linda! Oh no! Break out that butterfly!! He so cool! I would like to be able to play all day too! WOW! Please share your new fortune with me! LOL! It is sad that people fall for this stuff. Horrible people out there on the inter-webs! 🙂
