Mojo Monday 486

Another pleasant day at the Store! Renee, Angie and I all worked on our respective projects in the morning. Renee had a class at 1:00 and one of our customers is a LuLaroe Rep so she had a Pop-Up event at the Store. Lots of people came in and bought things. I left around 2:30 and came home to find Taylor at my house. We chatted and waited for my friend Jim to come over. I’m helping him scan in pictures for an album that he’s working on. We had dinner and watched some TV before he left to pick up his daughter. I have been meaning to call Danielle and catch up with her and I finally did. I still miss her so much! Today I have my usual projects to get done, always a labor of love! 😀

It’s Monday so you know what that means, time for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

Yes, I played with yet some more of the new Lawn Fawn release for today’s card! My images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Sewn with Love Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped my images in Jet Black and colored them in with Copics. They are cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Purple Hearts. I used the Lawn Fawn Zig Zag Rectangles, Squares and Circles to cut out a piece of Lawn Fawn Gummy Bears 12×12 Paper, Chinese Red, Tropical Sea and Wildflower Honey. The Patterned Paper is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Next up is a piece of Ballerina Pink with some Yellow Embroidery Floss wrapped around it. On top of that I adhered the rest of the shapes and stamped the Lovely on the Yellow Circle. The Sew is stamped in Jalapeño and cut out again with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts. I adhered all of the images with 3D Foam Squares and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze, Pink Blush, Marshmallow and Sparkling Clear Sequins and the card is done! I think that the patterned paper and the Zig Zag Dies really add to the sewing theme of the card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! 1. Thanks so much HJ! It is definitely an out of my comfort zone card! I love when I get stuff done and can spend time with my friends! Hope you have a fun day! 🙂

  2. This card is just “sew” happy! I received this set in my order from your shop this weekend and can’t wait to give it a go! Thank you for offering the Lawn Fawn preorder and for the speedy shipping.

    1. Thanks Rosanne! LOL! I can’t wait to see what you make with it! Thank you so much for placing your order with me! Happy Crafting! 🙂

  3. Hi Justin:

So glad you had a nice day yesterday. AND I received my Lawn Fawn order today and just wanted to thank you. This card says “quilter” all over it! I thought the sketch would be a tough one and a real challenge but you managed to pull it off beautifully. The zig zag dies imitate pinking shears perfectly. I wonder if there would be a good glue to use real fabric to attach the die cut fabric squares onto a card. That would be really neat.

Sounds like you had a good day yesterday. The weather here has been nice and sunny for a change and it’s so good to get rid of the gloomy days. Although, the weather people are talking snow flurries for Wednesday. I love the snow but I get tired of the gloomy days. Snow is so much more beautiful when the sun is shining on it and making it sparkle like glitter. You have yourself a Marvelous Monday. I need to get my act together so we can talk about those layering dies. Love and hugs, XXO 🙂

    1. Hello Grace!
I did have a nice day! I’m so glad that you got your order! Thanks again for ordering through me! The set is definitely a great set for a quilter! I will have to look into the glue to attach the fabric to card stock! That’s a great idea!
Yup, it was a great Sunday! We are to get similar weather here but Spring is so close I can almost feel it! I do agree, snow is pretty, but I prefer to see it and not experience it! LOL! Hope you are having a great day! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂

  4. OMG….adorable. I am a quilter, this card is perfect. And I love hw you created the “fabric”. I have so much fabric I could use the real stuf on my card.

Great relaxing Sunday, got some Easter cards done. LOL, counting down until next weekend for more playtime

    1. Thank you Linda!! I’ll bet the card would be really fun with real fabric on it!
