OSAT February Blog Hop – All You Need is Love!

It was sooooooo nice out yesterday! We made it up to 62 degrees! I had to go out to the bank and I had the pleasure of having the top down in the car! In February! What?!?! Well, never fear, today we are to get up to 12 inches of snow! Insane weather! I would of course prefer to do a repeat of yesterday! I made sure thatI was nice and productive at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, we are closed today. They have told everyone to make sure that if they don’t need to travel to stay home. I think that I will get some more organizing done today, it’s a good day to do it! 😀

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from the talented Jeanna Bohanon, welcome! This month we have a All You Need is Love theme! Ahh… who doesn’t like a little love?! I have a card and coordinating gift box for you today!

I used the same stamp set on both the card and the gift box. To create them I heat embossed the flowers and leaves from the Concord & 9th Hello Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set in WOW! Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder onto three pieces of Solar White 80lb, one so that I could cut out the large flowers. For the card I also stamped the greeting from the set in Hero Arts Wet Cement Ink. On the cut out flowers I added a little Prismacolor Colored Pencils to the petals. For the gift box I used the Lawn Fawn Pillow Box Lawn Cut to cut out the paper and adhered it together with Scor-Tape. I adhered the background for the card to a piece of Shale Card Stock and then to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The cut out flowers are adhered to the card and to the gift box with 3D Foam Squares. All that was left to do was to add a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and they are done! I love that Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder and the flowers and leaves from the Hello Lovely Set look great left as is, colored in or stamped with the addition layers!

I hope that you enjoyed my card and gift box  for the OSAT All You Need is Love Blog Hop! You can click on the next button below to see what the talented Dena Rekow has come up with!! Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today. Have a thoroughly awesome Thursday! 🙂

  1. OMG! As much as I do miss snow days, I do not miss the snow. Hopefully it will not pile up against your door and trap you inside with Winston! I love love love love love love this card and pillow box! You knocked it out of the park. I think this is your best card ever. I really need to get my hands on that damn set!

    1. I hate the snow and you know that! I was able to get Winston out and sneak next door for dinner! Im so glad that you like the card!! Wow! One of my all time best! Coming from you that means that you really like it! I love the stamp set, you would have a ball coloring it! 🙂

  2. Hi Justin, Enjoy your “Snow-Day”, I know I will. I just got a UPS delivery yesterday. This card and box are beautiful. I love the font and the colors and the whole thing.

    1. Hello Nancy! Yay for your box of goodies! Glad that you like the card! Hope you had a crafty day! 🙂

  3. Everything about your card and box are LOVELY! As for your remark about us getting tired of the love theme, all I can say is never! Valentine’s Day, my husband’s birthday, my dog’s birthday, Washington and Lincoln’s birthdays, my reclusive cousin’s birthday (to whom I always send a card), and I’m sure there must be more in February. The groundhog doesn’t count because he didn’t predict an early spring! So just keep love coming. Here’s some more love for my favorite blogman – new word? – love and hugs to you! Nancy B

    1. Thank you very much Nancy! I have to say that I have made a lot of love cards lately and I’m ready for a new greeting! LOL! But you are right, we all need more love!! I like the term blogman! YAY! Big hugs and lots of love back to you! 🙂

  4. So elegant and lovely! Enjoy your snow day! If you get bored you can come to my house and help me shovel!

  5. What a beautiful card and gift box combination! (as I sit here typing while looking out the window at the snow!!)

  6. Love this card and pillow box with the beautiful rich pale gold EP and that gorgeous flower. I love the wet cement stamp pad too. What’s not to love about a totally stunning card!! Have a great day. Here the snow stopped around 9 and sun was out before 10. So it’s pretty much a non-event here. Yay!! Now we have high winds. It’s a good day to get inky or organize or both. Stay warm and safe, my friend. That’s important.

    1. Thank you HJ! I really like that Rich Pale Gold EP! I was not happy being trapped in the house all day but I did get a lot done! Glad that you didn’t get much snow, we definitely did! I was warm and safe! 🙂

  7. This card is spectacular, beautiful, elegant and oh so versatile! Wedding, sympathy, birthday – you name it you can use this design for it. I cannot express in words how gorgeous I think this card is. You just keep amazing me Justin – day after day after day. I don’t know how you do it!

  8. Wow, this really is love;ly. I love your color choices. I like the pale gold, beaitiful gold but not so bright it blinds you.

I hope some of that storm missed you or fizzled out! Snow days are fun until you need to eventually deal withn the mess

Nope, we got walloped! I hate being stuck in the house all day! 🙂

  9. What a beautiful card and gift box! I love the gold embossing. I live in NE Ohio and we got snow yesterday but nothing like NY is getting or about to get. (my husband thought only about 2-3″) It was actually a very pretty snow and I didn’t have to go out in it!!
It is 12 degrees right now but the sun is shining and that is a good thing. Hate the gray and gloomy. Enjoy your snow day!!❄️☃️

    1. Thank you MaryJo! We did get a lot of snow and most of it is still around in piles. Sun is always better than gray! 🙂
