Paper Craft Crew 230

We are to have some wacky weather here for the next two days! Today it’s going to be in the 60’s and tomorrow we are to get up to 10 inches of snow! Mother Nature needs to get it together! LOL! I did had a very productive day at the Store yesterday! My friend Sue came by and we got so much accomplished! We moved things around and cataloged a bunch of stuff. We also got to FaceTime with Michael and met his newest dog, she’s so cute. After work I had dinner and then came home and did a little more organizing and some relaxing! Today, maybe I will get to drive to work with the top down and tomorrow I probably won’t be able to get to work! Crazy! πŸ˜€

Midweek and time for a new Paper Craft Crew challenge…

It’s that Love time of year! Hope you aren’t sick of all of the love on the blog! LOL! I wanted to use the die cut that I had left over from the card that I made the other day, you can see it HERE. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Hero Arts Alphabet Soup Bold Prints Background in Soft Pink onto a piece of Solar white 80lb. Next I took some more Soft Pink Ink and added it to the back of a piece of 48lb Vellum, using my Heat Tool to dry it in between layers and then cut it out with the Hero Arts Nesting Infinity Hearts Dies. I adhered the love die cut with Multi-Matte Medium to the Vellum heart and then added some more behind the letters to adhere it to the stamped background panel. The left side is trimmed off. A piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Tape is adhered down the left side of the card base and then the panel is adhered to card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. For a little extra sparkle I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is done! I really like the love die cut stamped with the flowers and the soft pink heart is neat! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Theme Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! 1. Stunning, Justin. Love the pinks, vellum and, of course, sequins. Mother Nature needs to get some calming drugs!! I could take several days like this one, but tomorrow is a different story. Take care and be safe.

    1. Thank you HJ! Yes, I don’t know what Mother Nature is up to but she better get it together! LOL! I loved Wednesday, today not so much! πŸ™‚

  2. HI Justin:

Your card for today is just the softest, sweetest Valentine’s Day card I’ve seen to date. The pinks are so soft and warm. One of the things this card brought to mind is the fact that my great, great niece and nephew are collecting money for the “Jump for Heart Health” this month. People donate say a nickle for every jump they do with the jump rope. Anyway, what a great thank you card this would make for the donors that have pledged to support them. They would just need to add the words “your heart” under the love. So it goes to show that hearts on a card can be used for more then Valentine’s.

We had about 7″ of snow yesterday and last night. Lucky for us we did NOT get the freezing rain on top of it. Today it is supposed to get to 40 and then the temp will once again drop like a rock in time for us to get yet more snow tomorrow. Crazy weather for sure. Evidently Connecticut is going to get hit hard tomorrow also as the Care Center my daughter Tracy works at is on “snow down”. That means that all employees need to be prepared to work multiple shifts and not leave the facility if the storm causes roads to be impassible or the state issues a No Driving order until the storm is over. I hope the forecast is wrong and that everyone is able to stay safe during this next winter blast. You have yourself a Wonderful Wednesday my friend. If it’s that bad tomorrow stay home and stay safe. Love & Hugs to you. XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you Grace! I like the pink Vellum and it was fun to make. That sounds like a great cause and they would make perfect thank you cards!
You love your snow! You could have all of mine too! I was in the house all day, going a little stir crazy! LOL! Can’t wait to get out tomorrow! Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  3. Great card, Justin! I hear ya about the weather! Oddly enough, I’m kind of excited for this big storm…maybe because I can stay home! I’m in the 10-14 inch band. Oh–btw–my sister was SWAMPED with cards today! She received almost 50! Thanks so so much for your post, and a warm thank-you to all your followers! I wish I could give y’all a hug! I don’t see how to post a picture here, so I’ll e-mail one to you and you can do with it what you will!

    1. Thank you Ann! I am never excited for snow of any kind! LOL! I’m so glad that you got a lot of cards for Miss Irene! I will edit the addresses out of the picture and post it over the weekend! Thanks again for letting us all be a part of it! πŸ™‚

  4. This is beautiful, soft and subtle. I love the pinks and the velum.

OMG! 10 inches. Thank god we just got the rain!!!! Yep we wre at 55 yesterday, today highs in the low 20’s. RTonight single digits with wind chills. Spring: 42 days away

    1. Thanks so much Linda!
Yes, it was a lot of snow, way too much for my liking! The weather is just nuts! πŸ™‚

  5. There’s so much that I *love* about this design, Justin. The elements work so well together to create a soft pleasing color coordinated design. The “love” die cut contrasts beautifully against the pink colored vellum. I really like the way that you stamped the flowers on the 80 lb Neenah Solar White cardstock for the “love” die cut. I think the white space on the “love” die cut adds texture that really makes it stand out against the pink vellum heart. So pretty!!!
