Paper Craft Crew 231

Wow, Wednesday already?! I enjoyed my solo day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I had a few people stop in and I made my card for today. I also FaceTimed with my Aunt and my cousin Tracey in England, oh and Andrea too! Today I have to get ready for Card Class and work on some things with Renee! After work I had dinner and then came home and watched Valentine’s Day, an appropriate movie! LOL! I hope that you all enjoyed your day with your special someone! πŸ˜€

The card that I made yesterday is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge

I started off my card by using my Mini MISTI to stamp the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lemon Yellow and Orange Soda with the eye stamped in Black. To cut him out I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts. I then set about creating my background. To start I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Mint Julep to add just a little color to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I stamped the seaweed from the same set in Emerald Green. My strip of paper down the right side is a piece of Kraft that I heat embossed with the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp in Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. The sentiment is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and I heat embossed it in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Hunter Green that I cut out with the banner die from the Hero Arts Little Messages Stamp & Cut Set. The strip is adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares along with the goldfish. To complete the card I stamped some of the bubbles in Mint Julep and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets. That Goldfish is still one of my favorites and who doesn’t love the Clear Droplets, they make excellent bubbles! I hope that you like my Design Team Card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and take a peek at the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to see me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

  2. I am so glad that I bought this set from your store Justin. I just love it. In fact I love ALL the coloring layer stamp sets. They are such fun to work with, especially now that I have the mini misti. I also love the woodgrain stamp and use mine all the time. This is a fantastic card and I do need to get some clear drops – they ake fantastic bubbles.

Preparing for ore snow tonight into tomorrow. Looks like an old fashioned winter is finally here. All the snow assures us that our wells will be full and in the spring we won’t have to worry about drought. Spent Valentine’s Day sleeping on and off and coughing while the hubs did the same in the other room. We will just have to celebrate it on another day. I told him he really didn’t have to share the flu with me. You have yourself a Wonderful Wintry Wednesday. Love and hugs to you my friend. XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Yes, it’s a great set Grace! It’s one of my faves and I too love the layering sets! The MISTI definitely makes it easier! The clear drops look cool with flowers too!
I’m glad that you are getting the snow and not me! It was sweet that hubs gave you the flu, what a Romeo! LOL! I hope that you are feeling better! Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  3. Hi Justin,

  4. Love this….one of my favorite sets. And I really like how your seaweed mimics the flourish on the sketch. I’m sure you saw the new HA Koi layering set, I had to have it. I thought it will give this set some competition.

Take care, I’m counting down to Saturday. At least I can work from home tomorrow, YES!

    1. Thank you Linda! It is one of my favorites too! Love the Koi Set!
The weekend will be here before you know it! I would love to work from home! πŸ™‚
