Paper Players 329

The sun really made an effort to stayย out yesterday! All in all it was a nice day especially at the Store. Renee and I worked on projects, I got another two cards made including one for next week’s Make-n-Take! I stopped by my Parent’s after work to retrieve Winston and then came home and waited for my friend Danielle to come by. We talked for hours and got all caught up and then headed out to have Five Guys for dinner. After that a quick stop at Starbucks and then more talk! It was so great to get all caught up! I miss her so much! We are going to make an effort to make sure that we get together more often. Today, more projects and orders! ๐Ÿ˜€

One of my crafty sessions yesterday produced my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! But before we get to this week’s I want to thank Sandy for choosing me as her Cut Above for last week’s challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE! Now for this week’s sketch…

As soon as I saw the sketch the card took shape in my little brain! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I stamped the Hero Arts Forest Floor Bold Prints Background in Hero Arts White Dye Ink onto a piece of Kraft. Across the bottom is a piece of American Crafts Silver Glitter Card Stock. The greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. That alongย with the flowers and leaves are from the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flowers are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder and the leaves in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, both onto 48lb Vellum. I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut them out and adhered the flowers to the card with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape and the leaves with Dot Runner Adhesive. A little sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and the card is done! I love the flowers embossed on the Vellum and the subtle background! I think this would make a perfect card for a Wedding! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Sketch Challenge! Thank you for your visit today! Have an incredible Thursday! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Hi Justin, I saw this layout yesterday and thought it was one of the best I’ve seen. Something about it struck me. I LOVE your flowers all lined up. The vellum is gorgeous.

    1. Hello Nancy! I love the layout too! Glad that you like the card!! Hope you are enjoying your week! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. A gorgeous card today Justin. The minute I laid eyes on it I thought “perfect wedding card”. Something about a white and silver combo always makes me think of weddings. You did a great job with this sketch and you couldn’t have picked a better background stamp. Love it.

Glad you had a nice day yesterday. Today we have full sun and after yesterday’s snow it looks beautiful. The hubs says he believes we had a group of coyotes in the yard during the night judging by the prints in the snow. Since I was basically a city kid I have no idea what animal prints go with what animal. Anyway, they were evidently quiet as we didn’t hear a thing. I’ll have to check with my neighbor up the road to see if he had a problem with his goats last night. You have yourself a Terrific Thursday. I’m off to go shopping – not the fun kind – the grocery store. UGH Love and hugs to you my friend. XXOO ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thank you so much Grace! I do love that flower set and have used it a lot but I don’t think that I have ever done them like that. It definitely makes me think of weddings and the background is one of my favorites!
So happy that you had a nice day! Oh, Coyotes! You have all sorts of fun things up there in the country! Hope you had a great day! Love and hugs! XOXO ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Wow Justin,
Another stunning card! Love the vellum flowers! The background stamp is perfect.

  4. Oh, you know me when it comes to tone-on-tone cards, Justin! This is beautiful! I love the touch of sparkle you added with the silver! So there was minimal sun in East Meadow yesterday. What started out as a lovely (albeit cold) day quickly turned raw and gray here. I went back to read your post two times just to make sure I wasn’t hallucinating about the sun. Sun deprivation will do that to you, you know! Lol! Glad you had a good, productive day. It’s been busy around here. So busy that I haven’t watched this week’s episode of This Is Us. I like to give that show my undivided attention so there’s no multi-tasking like folding laundry, playing Candy Crush, etc. Hopefully I will get to it tonight, along with Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal!

    1. Yes, I do Linda! I love a nice monochromatic card too! We had the same here in Babylon. I think we get a little more being so close to the ocean! I am feeling the sun deprivation too and yes, it will definitely do that to you! I didn’t watch the episode either, but will check it out tonight! Hope you have a lovely day my friend! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. I love this card with all the bling of the silver, sequins and the beautiful vellum flowers. So pretty. You’re right. This card would be perfect for a wedding. Glad you had a nice day. Take care and have a great weekend, my friend.

    1. Thanks HJ! I do love those flowers! I hope that you are having a good day! Hugs to you! ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. what a great take on the sketch! Beautiful card. Sunny here, but flippin cold, single digits, I know its middle of winter but I’m so ready for Spring. Too bad the ground hog saw his shadow,

    1. Thank you Linda!! Sunny is better than gray even if it’s cold! I’m so ready for Spring, or to live somewhere I never have to experience Winter again! LOL! I don’t believe the groundhog! ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. This is so pretty, Justin….the subtle background is delightful, really lets those florals stand out! My favorite part is the saying, though….I just LOVE that font! Thanks for playing with the Players sketch this week! It’s awesome!

    1. Thank you LeAnne! I love that background and the White Dye in is great! I too love the greeting and the font! Hope you have a great weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚
