SIP Challenge 85 – Love!

What a nice Monday that turned out to be! The weather was pleasant, it won’t be later in the week, and the Store was busy! Renee had her Christmas Card Club Class and there were some new ladies in it! A very funny and group indeed! I got some projects completed and still have a ton more to do! After work I had dinner with my Parents and then came home and continued the purge! Feels so good to get rid of things and have less clutter! Can’t wait to do some more tonight! Renee is off from the Store today and my friend Sue will be coming by to spend some time with me! πŸ˜€

Tuesday and we have a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge for you…

Ahh… love! And just in time for Valentine’s Day! I have been a little obsessed with stamped backgrounds lately and today I have another one! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black. To create my background I used the Altenew Painted Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flowers are stamped in Jet Back, Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields and Deep Iris and the leaves in Frayed Leaf Crisp Inks. I trimmed the panel to 5 1/4 by 4. My greeting is from the Altenew Super Script 2 Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder along with the hearts from the set onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I cut the bottom at an angle and folded the top over the stamped background, the whole thing is adhered with E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins finish the card! I really love that Painted Flowers Set, it’s one of the more forgiving layering sets and I think it creates a very nice background! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Love Challenge! Take a minute to go over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Design Team’s creations and enter yours in the gallery to share with us! Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

  2. Hey Justin,
Another beautiful card. Again, it amazes me how the flowers look like you colored them with markers or painted them. The layering of colors is beautiful.

  3. Good Morning Justin:

First of all I have to tell you that I just LOVE your stamped backgrounds and they are more beautiful then a lot of the DSP I have seen. Also, and I don’t mean to sound too frugal, it saves money because you already have the stamps and you already have the card stock. I’ll tell you a little secret (Shhhh!) I have tons of 12 X 12 DSP and never seem to use it because I don’t want to be looking through all of it to find just the perfect pattern when I can make my own. I’m still trying to figure out why I bought it all. The hubs said it’s because it reminds me of fabric and I am definitely a fabricholic! Even my girls have told me I’m not allowed to buy anymore fabric until I use the tons and tons I already have. OUCH! That would take 2 lifetimes. I absolutely, positively love your card today. You just have so much talent stuffed into your body that it bursts out. Love and hugs and wishes for a Tremendous Tuesday for you. XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Hi Grace!
Thank you! I really do enjoy making the stamped backgrounds. You have a lot more control and can make them match your project perfectly! I have tended to shy away from patterned paper lately! You use your fabric on your lovely quilts! How can they say that?! Glad that you like the card and thank you again! Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  4. So non traditional…..love it.

We are in rainy season here, heavy heavy rains. As i was driving to work today I thought, |”im so lucky this is rain in February, if it was snow we would all be buried by now” Temp are dropping here now, but spring is like 43 days away.

Purge here please, pick any room and start

    1. Thanks Linda!
I would be quite happy with rain over snow and you know that! It really feels good to get rid of stuff, I have been a bit of a hoarder, time for a change! πŸ™‚
